My sister just asked "why do you watch the beginning of the game? Only the last minute is important"

I tried to convince her but to no avail. Anybody got a good answer to this?

The last minute's importance depends on what happens before it. If the team is kicking ass you can turn the game off with five minutes left. She's wrong, the last minute might be the most dramatic part of a game but it is far from the most important.
