gotta hand it to the dude. Played great to start the 4th and gave us some damn life. And please cut him some slack for those free throws :lol.

Down by 10 his rebounds, points and defense were very important to came back to 4.
1/4 from Ft but he played well.

He really is the one who gave us some momentum to start the 4th. Those free throws were awful though lol.
He definitely deserves credit for keeping at it. Had a very solid 4th quarter.

Just came out and did exactly the same thing he did against Memphis last year. His free throw form even reverted.

chip fuked with his release....he used to shoot better than that in the reg season

Yeah actually. His points in the fourth and that charge on Harden were really important momentum changers. I'm just hoping that he can get his free throw shooting back to what it was during the regular season.

Pnr was money all game. And usually he brings something positive when plays 4th down. If he shoots better from FT line we could set more plays for him.

I would cut him a break if I though he was that bad at free-throws but I don't. He's missing in the playoffs because he scared, imho. That's pathetic.
He did play well though.

I don't even care about his FTs because this is something mechanical that Chip must be working on, yes he was only a 65-69% ft shooter all season but all of a sudden he is air balling FTs... He rarely did that even during his "hitch" days in Season 1.

Guy needs to go to the Rick Barry method...
Aside from that, great game. I think he needs to eat Bonner's 11 minutes (or maybe try Blair, but Bonner balls have fallen off again...).

One underrated thing about the shooting fouls Tiago drew early in the 4th is that it got the Spurs into the penalty early. That was a big factor in scoring 39 in the 4th.

Tiago the Terminator did some dirty work today, forget the missed free throws, he showed that can fight when the going gets tough....
Pop should utilize Splitter more!
Kudos to the Terminator! yeahhhh

Splitter didn't just play well in the 4th, he was great in the first half too. He's by far the best bench big in this series, maybe in the NBA.
But yeah, special props for kick-starting that run with the Manu-Splitter pnr for easy layup, the easiest 2pts in the league.

I'm not sure about this. He actually shot fairly well (50%+) in Games 3 & 4 in the first round and Games 3 & 4 in the second round. Plus his overall play doesn't look particularly scared to me once he's warmed up.
I think it's more that he's on a cold streak and it's affected his confidence at the line specifically. As a rhythm player he'll likely need to see a few go in during games before he'll start to get more consistent from there.

This
Splitter had played big games where he had all the focus on him during his career. He can't be scared to play a low role in the NBA playoffs
In fact when he missed FT he looks everything but scared

That's one huge area he has Blair beat is drawing fouls. Blair instead shoots circus shots.
