Gotta give pop a lot of credit with rolling with with this lineup at the end of the game.

Parker
Jackson
Neal
Duncan
Ginobili

When the least "clutch" person on that list is Parker, your in good shape. Took Ibaka out the game and added some stiff defense. I think the yung-uns were a little shell-shocked. :flag: Love this lineup.

On a side note...
Did you see Brooks talking to his team "We got what we want" "We are x but we need a little more y" Blah blah with half the team paying attention.

In Pops huddle EVERYONE was staring right at pop and listening intently.

Huge advantage in the coaching matchup.

I felt he could have gone with a stronger defensive lineup but Neal did take some important charges.

Neal seems to get a lot of hate on this forum. He seems to come up big, though. He's not out there to be a true point guard or a defensive lock. He makes buckets and is a very clutch shooter. I'll take that any day. Fisher is a thorn in our side and Neal is a quicker and more athletic fisher.

We only hate him is when Pop makes him the ball handler when he plays Pg..which is not really his fault. Neal will get minutes this series because he matches up perfectly with Fisher and doesn't have to go against a faster backup PG......Just Neal With IT...

Amazing that it was almost exactly the same squad, besides Neal, that was the 2003 Championship team.

9 years later? Jesus that is beautiful to actually let sink in.

Yep, gotta give Pop credit for seeing the shrunken testicles of the rooks and going with the nasty line up.

The advantage of having a deep squad is that Pop can give more minutes and crunch time minutes to the best 5 players on any given day.

Neue Braunfels should give Neal the key to the city.

the worst defender on the team and the coldest shooter in the 2012 playoffs so far. Pop has balls.

Manu's the most clutch. That guy doesn't miss in crunch time.

depends on the size of the opponents lineup at the time for me, im perfectly comfortable with diaw instead of neal in there because of his passing and adequate defense. the way we struggled to rebound the ball at times in game 1 has me somewhat worried, and with the length of the thunder it really pays great dividends to make them pay for long jumpers by not allowing offensive boards

Our closing lineup will change based on the closing lineup of the other team. It will never be the same, unless they play the same players.

Yes and no. Yes, because after the big three there aren't any other surefire closing players on this team (plus, there isn't much separating many of them). No, because of match-ups. There's not many match-ups where the Spurs can get away with Neal closing, but this is one where they can, because he can be hid on either Fisher or Sefolosha. I still think Green is most likely to close out of the perimeter rotation players not named Parker and Ginobili, though. But either way, two of the four will every game in this series.

I liked our closing lineup against the Clippers in game 4. Last night it looks like Pop went with a clutch closing lineup. I would have liked to see him to switch to a more defensive lineup to close it out. We did allow OKC several points the last two minutes. I am not sure if it was lack of defensive focus but it's dangerous.

Mo Cheeks.

A side note to your side note - Mo must be running low on cash to be living in Okie City. SOB cost DRob a title back in 1990 due to his geographical predilections.
