"The starting lineup for the Spurs in the playoffs is Duncan, Boris Diaw, Kawhi Leonard, Danny Green and Parker. The middle three sandwiched between the two stars don't thoroughly impress me."

"The Thunder are, surprisingly, the deeper team."

So much FAIL in that article it makes Jon Barry and Isreal Gutierrez look like they play for the Spurs. Some gems:

He missed all six shots he took in Sunday's Game 1, hounded by OKC's Thabo Sefolosha. That could be a trend as this series progresses.

:lmao Green was wide open on every shot.

Leonard, a first-round pick out of San Diego State, has enjoyed an impressive rookie campaign but has not been on a stage like this, against a team like the Thunder, playing with this much intensity.

So some thunder fan spouts off crap on bleacher report to make himself feel better about getting handled in the wcf again and you take it seriously?

The Spurs hate is so great that it makes winning that much sweeter. The blinders are clearly on a lot of folks nowaday.

ya know i was actually thinking about green, leonard, and diaw today, and it wasn't comforting.

the hotter the lights get in the postseason, the less i trust these three starters.

green isn't far removed from being a d-leaguer.

leonard is playing great, but he's a rookie. the last rookie to start for a championship team was magic johnson 32 years ago, was it not?

and if diaw is really passionate about basketball, and cares deeply about winning, then why did he get so damn fat?

i'm hoping for the best, but these three worry me tbh

+1...Did you see their recent article that said the Spurs should trade for Michael Beasley during the off season? Talk about someone who doesn't fit the Spurs culture...

For Green and Leonard. Does anyone remember the 1st game against Utah? Green and Leonard were definately unimpressive. Then as the series continued, they both reverted to the norm. Expect this to happen in OKC series.

This is a really simple series to break down.

Hardin = Manu
Westbrook = TP
Duncan + Spurs wings > Durant + OKC bigs
Spurs coaching > OKC coaching

And several subsets of the last one:
Spurs offense > OKC offense
Spurs defense > OKC defense
Spurs BB IQ >>>> OKC BB IQ

And one more for good measure:
Spurs 3 PT FG shooting > OKC

Which is a function of:
Spurs FO > OKC FO

In fact, they hired our former film intern as GM

Im wondering and hoping that Kawhi gets inspired by Stephen Jacksons defensive performance.

green isn't far removed from being a d-leaguer.
And Bowen bounced around playing in crappy international leagues for years before sticking in the NBA. Compared with Bruce, Danny Green's path to the NBA had rose petals sprinkled on it. He's been clutch for us even in a number of playoff games, he was a winner in college, he's an above average man defender, he can hit the open shot, make the pass to the next guy, and make the right rotations... he's a basketball player. If we start depending on him to create his own shot in isos, we're doomed, but we already know that.

leonard is playing great, but he's a rookie. the last rookie to start for a championship team was magic johnson 32 years ago, was it not?
Cool. That means Kawhi's going to be pretty damn special, doesn't it? Manu didn't start for us his rookie year, but he sure got it done during crunch time. And we're asking less of Kawhi than we did of Manu back then, IIRC.

and if diaw is really passionate about basketball, and cares deeply about winning, then why did he get so damn fat?
As far as I'm concerned, he hasn't proven he's a legitimately clutch player yet, or that he cares deeply about winning. But he's a smart basketball player that does the right thing with the ball 95 times out of 100. He can defend, pass, dribble, and shoot. And even if it turns out that he doesn't come up as clutch as we'd like, that still makes him the best guy we've lined up next to Tim in the paint since Robert Horry packed it in.

Who's Bleacher?

Kidd K
05-29-2012, 08:19 PM
It's bleacher report. In other words, the least reputable site that a lot of people actually know the name of.

The people posting articles there are just fans with their bias. Yeah, even NBA.com writers have bias, but they at least try not to show it for the most part when they're actually writing articles. Bleacher report has no filter or backlash for poor articles and misinformation, therefore there's no reason to ever care what's being said on it.

That site just can't be taken seriously. It's consistently bad way too much.
