I don't think I have ever seen something like that happen, at least 30 nba players stating their appreciation for spurs basketball...

Unfortunately I have no idea how to copy those tweets but among those who tweeted that i can remember were deron Williams, Ty Lawson, Jared Dudley, David lee, Brian cardinal, Anthony tolliver, Etc

Check their timelines for more info!

Spurs = America's team. Everyone I meet that watches BB loves the Spurs ... except ESPN, of course ... the Thugs Network

Spurs=basketball purists' second favourite team (after the team they've followed since childhood...).

Unfortunately many NBA fans are casual, bandwagon, or moronic, the media caters to the masses (lowest common denominator), so networks like ESPN fellate the Heat and their "fans" and only wake up to the SPurs when they have to. C'est la vie.

Stein seems to like the Spurs, as does Adande, Abbott, Hollinger. Many of their commentators appreciate our guys, it's their editorial policy that's crap.

Brandon Rush: Spurs gonna go undefeated in the playoffs

He's the guy I wanted to be Spur when Green wasn't here yet, same skill set.

Wow the amount of props and respect seriously amazes me...

I mean even I'm at aww at how the Spurs play, but I'm so glad it's being recognized, especially where it should be recognized.

Thanks for the link!

It won't. Most players want money or to play in bigger markets. SA just isn't that attractive of a market and it will be hard for players to make a name for themselves behind the big 3.

Too bad, I'd have fancied Deron Williams as a backup pointguard. :downspin:

Deron Williams: The way the spurs play is so much fun to watch! Extra passes are a lost art!
