Idiots spent all year criticizing Stern's decision regarding the Paul trade, yet it appears that he had a great plan..he avoided Lamar Odom's cancerous ass..if the Hornets had received Kevin Martin and whoever else, they would have been a 9th-10th seed, which would have prevented them from winning the lottery..

As DPG and I said, absolutely great move for the Hornets..

Stern is a genius GM..

This isn't debatable. It wasn't at the time of the trade and certainly isn't now.

Any GM who can give themselves a guaranteed #1 pick would be a genius.

I called the Hornets getting the top pick as soon as all that hype around Davis was circling. Sure enough, another fixed pick for NBA teams in flux. Never fails. Flux or expansion teams always get the #1 or #2 pick almost without fail. Shit, sometimes they even get back to back 1-2 picks (Magic), or 3 straight years of top 4 picks (Thunder). Cavs in flux: Jump high as hell to get top pick in Irving. Hornets in flux, jump from 4-1 to get Davis.

It's easy to predict when you just assume Stern is fixing the draft to help those teams. Magically, those teams always seem to "defy the odds". :rollin
