From Doc Rivers's postgame press conference …
Reporter: Doc, I genuinely don't want to get you in trouble here, but when the game is so tight and there's such a narrow margin of error, when you get in foul trouble and the 5050 calls, is it tough to overcome that when you're on the road in a situation like this?
Doc Rivers: Can you call it something else besides 5050 calls? Can you come up with another percentage for me?
Reporter: I might.
Rivers: Go ahead and do it.
Reporter: A couple of calls could have gone either way. It seemed like they went against you.
Rivers: What would that be? What percentage? I'm not saying anything. I would like you to say it.
Reporter: I know what you're saying.
Rivers: OK.

Boston's only retribution would be Tommy in a ref uniform for Game 3.

He wouldn't even run the court, just sit on the side lines blowing the whistle.

I like how Doc was daring the reporter to say it so he can go on a rant about it.

Take the fine, who cares. The truth must be told!

So what is your take on the officiating LN? I never hear you bitch about it profusely but really, what did you think about yesterday night?

The truth fouled out.

I think if Avery Bradley was playing last night, the Truth would not have fouled out. Not having Bradley yesterday night really hurt the C's.

It grates on me occasionally, but ultimately if Celtics had taken care of business in the 3rd quarter, there wouldn't have been an OT in the first place.

Besides, it didn't piss me off as much as Game 7 vs the Lakers, where the refs seemingly let them play the first two quarters, then started whistling that same contact in the last part of the 3rd qtr and 4th. I'm probably seeing that through green-tinted glasses, but considering I never plan on watching that game again, that memory is the one I'm keeping.

Edit: I'd like to note that during the game, I'm a huge homer, usually calling BS on every foul that goes against my team. Then after I watch the replay, I relent and note if it was a fair foul or not. :lol
