I have heard rumors about past Spurs stories...anybody know any truth to these questions.
1. Did Gervin burn himself freebasing instead of him trying to "fry" fish...where he got burned?
2. What Happened with Jay Howard...i heard he was a real jerk with the Spurs org.
3. The fallout between Bob Hill and the Spurs after the 1995 Season.
4. Rodman
Something just to get the mind of of tonites game for a while at least....:blah

It would help if you actually posed questions. I don't know if Gervin got burned freebasing, but he readily admits that he used cocaine. I delivered his newspaper back in 1973 and 1974 and he was a good tipper.
Jay Howard was definitely a jerk. I liked him on the radio, but he rubbed a lot of people the wrong way and didn't care.
The others aren't questions. What does 4 mean? "Rodman". Yes, he was a Spur...:(

Did 5-0 frequent strip clubs his rookie season? And did he enjoy it?
How many players on Tarkanian's team had bullet shrapnel lodged inside them?
What was the real reason Full Court Pets went out of business?
Clearly, it's all a dark conspiracy to keep us from the truth!

Two. Lloyd Daniels and Sam Mack. I remember this because I damn near died spitting up a soda when some TV announcer said something along the lines of "looks like Tark is going to his bench, let's see if he goes with leaded or unleaded".

Shithead Rodman literally disappeared during the playoffs...like with his picture on a milk carton. Turned out he was in Vegas banging Madonna while the Spurs were getting eliminated.

Is that really true?
If so do you remember who said it?
That is beyond awesome!
Rodman-
Basically became more and more of a loose cannon throughout the year.
In the playoffs got suspended one game for not having his shoes on. Against the Rockets would not go out and guard the perimeter, nor help double team the Dream.
Sean always says there was even more but refuses to elaborate.
What I understood was that the Spurs promised Rodman that he would be re-signed down the road by the Spurs at a certain figure when he came to the team.
Rodman apparently did not live up to some of the "conditions" that the Spurs placed on that off-the-record promise and, as a result, either the Spurs wanted to lower the figure or not re-sign him at all. So Rodman went on a one-man work slowdown during the '95 Playoffs.
That '95 Spurs team was fully capable of becoming their first title team, but at least in part due to Rodman's antics, ended up losing to the Rockets in the WCF. Rodman didn't accompany the team back to SA after the last game and things just went downhill from there.

For some reason I thought they're were actually 3 Spurs with shrapnel, but that's probably just my wishful thinking.

It's definitely true, but I don't remember who said it. Someone national. I wasn't living in San Antonio at the time.
