I still think the Spurs are the better team.

I didn't care about the streak, really. Sooner or later they'll drop a game.
This is better than finally losing 1 in the finals, in a race to 4 series.

I see that OKC has finally adjusted and did what I thought they could do to neutralise the charging calls (drive and kick out for 3s and those 8 to 15 foot stop and pop/floaters/finger rolls) instead of blasting through like a cannonball out of control.

Sefolosha was key tonight. He slowed down the PG ball movement by a few more precious seconds, and it was a domino effect from there.

This team's got long limbs.

PS:
I hope we had a true non rotation benchwarmer/enforcer so that we could shut up Harden and Perkins. I hated that guy even back in Boston.

Timmy's had 3 horrible games already, actually. But yes i'm interested to see how they respond. If they come back and play a great game 4 and win then i'll be confident. If they come out and take a beating and lose game 4, it's anybody's series. The Spurs haven't been able to make adjustments for the last 5 quarters now. And not only did the team play horribly, but that was one of the worst coached games i've ever seen. Idk what Pop was thinking, but I give him the benefit of the doubt because of who he is. Still a head scratcher though.Hope they show up to play next game. Go Spurs.

Duncan played great in game 1 imho. Game 2 he was bad on offense, I agree, but was useful in defense, this game he was neither.

Yes 05 did too game 3 and 4 in Detroit! But they won that one in the end! So we can point a bad series but we can point out a good one too! INFACT we got blown out twice in that series in games 3 and 4!!! Sonics in game three beat, game 4 blown out! Spurs have seen this before, they will right the ship.......

That's the problem when your tough guy player is a rotation player.

This is also why I dislike the whole classy moral high ground of the Spurs at times tbh. We need a thug in the rotation - it works for the Lakers.

Bump. Seems like a lot of meltdown threads were made still after I posted this. C'mon guys believe in our team. Believe in Popovich.

I can understand some panic if this was 2-2... But 2-1? Why the panic?

Has to do with the way the Spurs won and the way they lost. Game 1 took a 9 point 4th quarter comeback complemented by a Thunder meltdown for the Spurs to win, and then in game 2, the Thunder seemed to have little problem (once they made a few adjustments) cutting a 22 point lead down to 6. The Spurs haven't put together one game where they dominated OKC from start-to-finish, whereas OKC did just that last night and didn't seem like they broke a sweat doing it.

Many Spurs fans fear the Thunder have figured out the Spurs seemingly unstoppable offense, which means the pace will shift to Thunders' advantage, turning the game into more of a grind. And typically in the playoffs, the team that's most top heavy and better defensively wins those type of games. I think that's why Popovich force fed Duncan on the block early in this game, to hopefully punish the Thunders' small ball lineup that terrorizes the Spurs' pick-and-roll and run the offense through Duncan, going temporarily away from Parker, which, in theory, would make Thabo a liability since he's a poor/mediocre offensive player. If Duncan on the block works, then Brooks has to recounter with big-ball, and the Spurs can recounter that move going back to the pick-and-roll.

Problem was, Duncan isn't 28 anymore. So now we fear that all you have to do is shut Parker in the pick-and-roll (which you've proven you can) to win this series. Without Duncan no longer being able to dominate on the block, the Spurs have no effective counter.

They're a very good team. Always an element of fear playing a team this good.

And if Pop can't figure out how to adjust to Thabo on Parker, the Spurs will be in for a long and tough series.

We will win...I'm just pissed that OKC may have shown Miami something they can do too (they dont have Thabo and may not be as versatile up front, but I think Miami can do similar stuff than that)...Whow....looking to far ahead!

3:1 on Saturday! Book it!

Personally I was worried about Thabo on Parker. But TP was able to adjust in the 3rd but it was too little too late, imho. And Tim has been bad in games 2 and 3, I don't think he will be 3 games in a row. We will need Green to nut up and Manu to unravel his magic again, that's for sure.
