Is this a guys that wants all the pressure and to take his team on his shoulders in Game 7?

"I feel I need to be assertive, but I don't think I need to be overly assertive," Duncan said after a practice / film session Wednesday. "I think we're going to stick with our game plan and we're going to continue to move the ball."

THAT is why the Pistons will win tonight.

"But at the same time, I want to be aggressive. I want to get the ball. I want to be effective more than anything. And how do you balance that? I don't know."

If Duncan is confused, it's understandable. Much of the responsibility for his fourth quarter invisibility falls squarely on the shoulders of point guard Tony Parker, whose strengths are more geared towards scoring and not playmaking.

Parker acknowledged his teammate's plight, however, saying, "We definitely will try to get him the ball and make sure we get him in great situations and get his confidence going."

TD is not MJ. Our Spurs got this far playing team ball and that's how they'll win it all. But WHEN he DOES get the BALL. He should go quick, and go STRONG. :smokin

If we are sticking to the same gameplan, Pistons are winning.

The playoffs are about matchups and gameplanning.

Detroit changed their gameplan after game 2.

Spurs haven't which is why it took a miracle 4th for Horry to help win it for us in OT.

Spurs are done if they think they can go into game 7 with the same gameplan.

This scares me.

Newflash Pistons-Duncan says that just about everytime he's asked about a gameplan. I can't recall him ever saying, "Well, in order for us to win I'll need to go out there get 35 and 15." He goes out there and he does his thing and then he'll give the same vanilla answers the next time he gets asked.

I agree with Timmy. Look what happened in game 6 when they werent moving the ball. Timmy needs yto be assertive, but the Spurs need to have alot of ball movement!!

I don't see why that quote was bad. The problem in game 6 was not enough ball movement and the guards were taking it one on one instead of passing it and getting it into Tim.

Bingo. Once Manu got the lone ranger syndrome, it went downhill!

He's saying that he's not going to force his shots, it's a team game and if he's triple-teamed in the paint with a couple wide-open guys outside the arc, he's going to kick it out there. If those Bowen/Horry/Manu/Barry can hit those open jumpers, since we can't rely on TP's jumper, then that opens it up for TD to do what he does.

Somehow, Timmy got all of the important things done when it mattered most -- he stayed true to his commitment to team.

3 gold balls. Solid.
