We've seen this before with the Spurs - like the first Laker game. They took the night off. It was a well-earned break, and I am glad that they now don't have to carry the distraction of 'the streak' anymore. Streaks and some of these other statistical anomalies that are analyzed so much are retarded. I remember when it was said that the Spurs can only win a title in an odd-numbered year - seriously?!?!?
Duncan's first shot was an airball. He looked horrible!!! Tony's passes were off, seemed like Sefolosha deflected nearly every one of them.
It would be different if this had been a hard fought game for 48 minutes, and the better team won. This might be fool's gold for OKC with Sefolosha hitting 19 and Ibaka in double digits.
Expect a much more focused Spurs team next outing. But last night in game 3 it just looked like they deserved a night off, and they took it. I wanted the Spurs to win, don't get me wrong. But they earned a night off.
