View Full Version : So is Bonner the same black cloud on this team that Jefferson was?

The second he came in the Spurs offense went to hell and it hasn't come back since; exactly what happened in game 3. The Spurs need to cut out his fucking ACLs and implant them into Blair's knees before game 5 tbh.

Seriously Pop is being a fucking idiot, he needs to stop playing this piece of shit and play Blair instead, at least he has a nutsack

you know you're in trouble when this piece of shit is the first big of the bench... And it's nice to see that he gets a lot of money for his great play in the playoffs.

Bonner sucks, but this team has deeper issues regarding choking. Look at our chronic failure at the FT line. A sure sign of no-heart syndrome.

If we get backdoor swept, which is looking like a very real possibility, some of our favorite players must own up to a undeniable tendency of choking and meltdown.

Spurs were leading 19-13 when this piece of shit checked in. 6 straight for the Thunder from that point, and the Spurs rhythm just went to pieces.

Bonner needs to be the 1st or 2nd big off the bench or else his confidence will be destroyed...and we need him to spread the floor.

OMG what the fuck am I saying, I want him amnestied right now so we never have to see him on the floor again. He's hasn't won us a meaningful game in recent memory, and the last game he went off on we lost. I'm sorry, but he's useless.

Hard to ignore the coincidence two games in a row

Everything goes to shit with that first bench rotation

:lol passing up shots before the series even started. 1-8 heading into Game 4 and Pop still gave him a shot this game.

Welcome back 2008-2011 Pop :toast :lmao

Bonner isn't the only problem but he's a big one. Until he's gone like RJ Pop will continue to go to him.

Duncan is the best thing that happens to the Spurs, Bonner the worst...
Is their Any chance they trade Bonner next year? I would trade him to nowhere for a lot of money

I'll be sick to my stomach if the Spurs win this year and that Ginger faggot gets a ring. The Coytoe deserves it more than that choking piece of shit.

Bonner already had a ring from 07

Bonner predates Jefferson (in terms of cloudship).

Meanwhile guys like Antonio McDyess and Kurt Thomas couldn't ring once. Bonner might luck out and get two rings.

I finally think Blair should get a look. We know Bonner is useless and we haven't made the Thunder pay for putting guards on our bigs.

Any team that brings Bonner as the first big off the bench does not deserve a title. Any coach that would allow that type of rotation does not deserve a job...

YES HE IS - and this shouldn't be any new revelation to those who have watched him over the past 4 years or so. Ever since Robert Horry retired and Pop promoted his ass to the primary stretch-4 role, he's been nothing but a regular season wonder and a choking dog in the playoffs. He's nothing but a mentally-weak, limited-skilled piece of shit - and he's got no business on this team. When or when will Pop and the rest of this coaching staff realize it? He is a large reason why the Spurs frontline is so very limited and skill deficient.

I hope Pop backs up his big man rotation tonight and makes him the 5th big for the rest of the playoffs.

But yeah, Bonner is in the same boat as RJ. Both had 4 year extensions back in 2010 and Bonner hasn't earned that money.

Bonner is worse than RJ but it's Pop, not Bonner, that's the issue. Bonner doesn't have to be on the floor, but Pop puts him there. Bonner does all he can, unlike RJ.

Bonner is a regular season player. He did his work and he helped us in a lot of games. I can't blame him.

But coming playoff time he's useless. That's the truth.

The problem is that we really need a player like RS's Bonner. We need a 4 who can make 3s to open the court for TP or TD. Diaw should be the key.

BatManu20
06-02-2012, 10:48 PM
If Diaw could shoot open 3's consistently this would all be put to bed. But He can't, and Bonner is trash. PLay Diaw more and bring in Blair instead of Bonner's bitch ass.

That's garbage; Bonner is passing up wide open threes that he needs to be taking every single time he gets them. Pop's being a dumbass for continuing to go to him, but let's not pretend Bonner is some kind of victim here. If he just shoots the ball instead of putting it on the floor and destroying the offensive set, we likely aren't having this conversation. Bonner is an amazing shooter and for the life of me I can't understand what's going through this guy's head to have him making such bad decisions on the floor.

Pop losing faith in the binominal distribution he's supposed to lose faith in... no surprises here...
