View Full Version : Should Rondo receive a suspension?..

The league has already set a precedent with suspensions of this nature..based on past history, a player blatantly attempting to kick another player warrants a suspension IMO..

Based on the fact that Boston gets away with more than any team not named OKC, he probably won't receive a suspension, despite Haslem receiving a suspension for a play on the ball:lol..

rofl is this what Heat fans are now hoping happens? Not only is Pierce fouling out on a game to game basis, are old as hell, Ray not 100%, Bradley out and now you want Rondo out? :lmao :lmao

This is too good.

Since when does kicking a player not warrant a suspension?..How does that equate to fear?..

Most of you aren't scared of the Heat, yet you were all begging for a suspension for Haslem, even though you could argue that Rondo's kick was worse..at least UD's play occurred during live action, as opposed to a dead ball..

Why are the Heat having trouble with a team who took 7 games to beat the Sixers?

If you think he shouldn't be suspended then :lmao

there is no place in the nba for that type of behavior tbh

Battier gave the first kick.

It's not really suspension worthy because nobody got hurt, the league isn't gonna suspend a player for throwing a tantrum in the playoffs. You do make a valid point though and if he made any kind of real contact he would have been suspended.

Tbh yes he should but it's doubtful. If it was a Miami player, there would be multiple threads calling for suspension...

Nah. This is similar to the Bruce Bowen kick to the back of Ray Allen back in that 2005 WCSF series.

Plus, according to your logic, superstars should receive the benefit of doubt when it comes to officiating in a situation involving an opposing team scrub player.

Bruce Bowen suspended 1 game for kicking Chris Paul in 2008
Raja Bell suspended 1 game for kicking Bargnani in 2007
Kevin Love suspended 2 games for kicking Scola in 2012
Lebron James fined 25000$ for kicking a water bottle
Dennis Rodman suspended 11 games for kicking a Cameraman in 1997

The league has set a precedent..furthermore, Rondo is a repeat offender..he has been suspended for hitting a ref and throwing a ball at a ref, in addition to being one of the NBA's leaders in technical fouls..

It makes absolutely no sense to let him walk without a suspension..if Rondo played for the Pacers or Nuggets, he would be suspended..

He should be suspended for missing considering he's a soccer fan.

Lebron James fined 25000$ for kicking a water bottle

That's it? If that were Chalmers or Battier, it would have been a 1 game suspension.

:lmao Yeah, like it matters. The league loves Boston.

He wasn't trying to kick anyone. He was upset he didn't get the foul call. If you see the shot from the front, he just flailed a bit, didn't kick Battier at all.

Nope. Wade didn't even get ejected for both of his clear flagrant 2's this postseason, so due to precedent, no player playing the Miami Heat should receive a suspension for flagrant fouls against any of their players this postseason unless it's way above and beyond a regular flagrant.

Agreed. I looked for him on his usual corner, and they said that he's had clients around the clock lately. Glad to see he's found a way to feed his family.

I don't know why LnGnnr is angry about my complaints, tbh:lol..

He should be happy with the officiating his team has received, hope they make it to the Finals, and move on..

I'm not angry, just pointing out you sound like a sissy bitch when you complain so much.

I'm stoked that we got the benefits of some calls at home... I thought that Miami might continue to get preferential treatment because of it's two superstars. Hopefully Wade has pissed the refs off by whining every time he isn't fouled.

This is still your series to lose, especially with Bosh coming back. You've got home court advantage, younger legs, and more skill. The only reason you wouldn't win out over us is due to a lack of heart, as gay as that sounds.
