Just 3 more solid minutes of play until ecstasy for OKC.
Just 3 minutes away from a Chernobyl meltdown on this site.
Fisher, Harden Durant close this bitch out. Spurs are NOT dead but we can kill them if we stop making dumb passes like Westbrook just did to Durant.
Kidd K
06-06-2012, 10:24 PM
And now OKC is telling the refs they don't need the help anymore. Harden and Fisher 3 pointers are the icing on David Stern's cake.
Actually, refs stop fixing games at the end because people tune in to watch. They start the fix early 3rd to mid-late 4th, then stop after they've sufficiantly padded the fixed to win team's lead and demoralized every run the opposing team has tried to make with rampant whistles.
So the game will be called 60/40 now instead of 100/0 in OKC's favor. We might even get more FTAs for our crappy FT shooters like Duncan.

I wish I could be happy for the Thunder. They're a great team. I would have been okay with us losing Game 6 on the floor and not by the whistle. But not like this. This was unbearable. It hurts to know that the games can't just play themselves out. It truly genuinely hurts. Worse than the loss itself. I don't know if a Spurs playoff loss has ever sucked as hard as this one.

Thank you for an amazing season
Great performance tonight from the spurs, they laid it all on the line, the Thunder just too good too fast, they couldnt slow em down
Now for OKC: Go win the Championship!: Im all for the thunder to win 5 championship in a row if it means LBJ doesnt win a ring :lol

Yeah, there were some shitty calls, but let's be honest here...the Thunder were just the better team. The Spurs came out guns blazing in the first half, but pretty much shot their wad and ran out of gas in the second half. The Thunder are a very young, athletic team...Durant could go 50-60 minutes a night easily.
Good luck in the finals, OKC...do us all a favor and make LeBron cry...

Diaw needs to lose weight against OKC.
Everyone else the weight comes in handy.
Spurs just don't have any decent big man defenders. Boris was the best, but against OKC if he was slimmer it might have helped him more.

I'm not blaming the refs for the series like in 2006 against Dallas. The refs took that series completely, Spurs took it back with Manu three despite all that, but unfortunately Manu handed it back. That was a total screw job. Then Dallas got hosed in the NBA finals against the Heat. Totally hosed.
Refs screwed us tonight in the second half for sure. You're crazy Ploto if you can't see what happened, but the Spurs still could have won game 5 so the series isn't on the refs.

I think this was the hardest loss for the Spurs since 2006 - the last year they should have won the championship.
2008 was hard too, but we had just won the championship the year before.
2009 and 2010 were relatively bad seasons, so it wasn't as shocking when we lost.
2011 was hard, but it was a first-round exit, and the Spurs had a weak finish to the regular season.
2012, like 2006, will be remembered as a year the Spurs should have won it all.

This loss sucks, but it felt like we lost to the better team. OKC hit some fluky shots, but they looked so much more confident than we did in Games 3-6. They deserved the series even if the fourth quarter officiating was amongst the worst the Spurs have seen since 2006.

Tony Parker fucking shriveled. Unforgivable.
I don't know much about this DPG, but he gets it. Yes, you should be proud of this team win or lose. But I think DPG realizes what a rare and special opportunity that was lost last night. Yes, some of it was due to shaky calls. But Manu, only had 10 points. Green and Tiago were useless. The Spurs were the favorites just a week ago and now that got swept out the backdoor. without major changes this team is done a legit title contender. They will be good next year just like this year and the year before. But to win titles you cant keep flaming out of the western playoffs after having HCA and not question the fortitude of this current squad. Manu was nails last game and lacking this one. Only SJAX was able to play consistently well as my Thunder rolled the past 4 games. As well as my team played, and I do think we are the better team, no way we win without the help of a choke from the Spurs. That helped us more than the refs.

That 2012 Heat team was arguably their strongest Finals squad. They had the Big 3 playing at a high level plus Chalmers, and got solid contributions across the board (Haslem, Battier, Miller). The 2013 Heat were close but still needed to be bailed out by a fucking Ray Allen miracle to repeat.
2012 Heat decimated the Thunder's Big 3, who were fresh off backdoor sweeping of the Spurs. People got all enamored with that 20 game winning streak (myself included), but once the pressure got put on, that Spurs team buckled. Had they managed to overcome the Thunder, I still don't think a match-up between them and the Heat could've been anything better than a toss-up.
