View Full Version : Lack of an inbetween game for Spurs role players

One thing that has occurred to me is that the Spurs role players are very easy to neutralize because they lack the ability to hit jumpshots. The Spurs stress 3's and paint points so much and try to avoid jumpers. Sure jumpers may be not as efficient but if you're opponent is determined to take away 3's and paint points you have to be able to hit jumpers. This always happens in the playoffs.

Daequan Cook was a perfect example last night. When they ran him off the line he took a few steps in and hit the jumper. Why can't our other role players do that? You still take the 3 if it's open but take the jumper otherwise. It prevents the offense from getting mucked up.
