Guard Gary Neal was not on board the Spurs’ flight from San Antonio to Oklahoma City on Tuesday afternoon, coach Gregg Popovich said.
“He’s not feeling well,” Popovich told the Express-News.
Asked if it was anything serious, Popovich said, “No.”
In 15 minutes off the bench Monday night, Neal scored 2 points by sinking a pair of free throws. He was 0 for 6 from the field in Game 5, including 0 for 3 from 3-point territory.

I'm a Neal fan, too.

He can hit the big three (without being wide open when he gets the ball), he can drive and hit the mid-range jumper (a lost art) and he can even glide to the hoop and bank it high off the glass. He's a flat-out scorer that you don't need to orient the offense to in order to take advantage of.

He'll never be a great defender, but the last few games he's been working hard on D and has been fairly effective.

It's not a good sign that he's not on the plane (but there will be other planes to OKC tomorrow if he's up to it).

Hell I drove from Eugene to Portland with an ear infection and pneumonia just to watch the Spurs play! Granted, I wish I didn't cause that was my first NBA game ever and what I wanted to see more than anything else was Duncan play, and Pop rested the big three and the Spurs, or should I say Toros, lost by 40 to the Blazers.
