View Full Version : If Spurs win game 6, you like their chances in game 7?

First off, I don't think they will game 6. In fact, I feel even more confident in saying that than saying all season that the Spurs would beat the Thunder. And despite how bleak it looks now and what you may have thought of that opinion, if you saw any of my comments on this match-up, you know I was indisputably supremely confident; so to say I'm more confident now is saying something. But predictions aside, it is still technically a possibility and a very real one. It's not as if they've got to come back from 0-3.
So let's go out on a limb for a second and say they pull it off and force game 7. What chance would you give them in it? I'd give them anywhere from 30-40%. Asking the big three to play the type of minutes and exert the type of energy is would require to win three in a row, when this series has been going every other day for a couple of weeks, is probably asking too much. They'd hang tough, but probably fade down the stretch. In other words, I don't think this is a matter of, "if they can just find a way to pull out game 6, they'll win game 7".

I'm very positive about the Spurs winning tomorrow. You just can't write them off yet. They're 4 time champs for a reason, they've been in these types of positions before, they can win Game 6!

I would give the spurs a 60% chance of taking game 7 at home.
There would have to be a fundamental shift in team psyche and confidence to win Game 6. If that was to happen, which is extremely unlikely, I would think that would only grow and make they very, very hard to beat in Game 7.

50/50..
I give them a 30% chance in game 6. I get that people are down but this team is not unbeatable. Spurs won the first 2 games, they beat them in the reg season in OKC..
They can win this game...

goddamn, why do you even think about this??? One step at a time, gotta win in OKC first which is always a tough task, especially given the circumstances. If they happen to pull a win out of their asses, it's a different story.

I would give the Spurs a 100% chance of winning game 7, but there's a 0% chance of that.

We've only won one road game six when down 3-2, and we lost that game 7 at home vs. Dallas in 2006.

I agree. Who's to say that if the Spurs can win Game 6 in Oklahoma, the Thunder can't win Game 7 in San Antonio?
As much as it pains me to admit, any rational, thinking person would have to pick OKC to win this series. The odds are just too much in their favor.

The Spurs will need to find themselves again to win game six, and if they do that anything is possible. Ugh Kevin Garnett. :lol

As others have said, let's focus on game 6 first. Nothing is set in stone yet.

Are you a optimistic fan that has confidence in his team or you just another asshole on this message board?

Celtics just showed experience and veteran leadership does wonders... spurs can do it too.

In order for it to happen, Pop must rely on the bench again and the bench has to produce. He has to give Splitter, Green, Blair and Neal a real opportunity to succeed (Even if they haven't the past 3 games with the limited time they've received). That was and is a big reason why the Spurs have had the type of year they've had.
I just don't see how Tim, Tony, Manu, Jackson and Leonard/Diaw can out execute and stop the Thunder down the stretch with heavy legs going on 40 minutes.
Spurs need their bench back. And Pop has to give them a chance.

If Spurs win Game 6, we win Game 7 by pulling away at the very end.
Gotta get Game 6

Pop just has to tell Manu not to foul the shooter in the last minute, and it's all good. :hat

This. Pop has single handedly destroyed the one advantage we have. I think he needs to revisit Tim-Tiago. It's strong defensively and worked against the Clippers. Bonner has giving us nothing this series and his minutes went up from the Clippers series.
The Spurs will win the series if they find a way to get there. Gotta dig deep inside, grit, grind, fight and claw their way to that opportunity. Anything can happen, it's basketball.

If the Spurs win 6 they will win game 7.
Boston vs Spurs would be the easiest road for the Spurs to 5 and that is how it has played out the entire playoffs the spurs have had the easiest road.
Big things have small beginnings. Get Game 6. There is no tomorrow.

Backs are against the wall and fighting for playoff survival. Leave it all on the court tonight and bring it home to SA for game 7.
