And neither will be until the clock runs down to 0, and one of the teams has 4 wins.

No offense to Celtics fans but even If Im not a Heat fan, I do not want to see a Boston-OKC series. Its going to be a brutal sweep. OKC is just a bad matchup for aging teams. Mavs, Lakers and now the Spurs are found that to be true.

OKC is a bad matchup for anyone at this point, tbh.

Wow. Good point. If Thunder win it all (against the Celts in the Finals), this will go down as a major "passing of the torch" playoff run.

As for the conference finals, I still see it as possible that the Heat make a comeback. Not too confident that the Spurs can overcome their myriad of obstacles, but stranger things have happened.

Already made a thread, brah.

If you are Mavs fan like myself, you know that it's not over until it's over. Your team hasn't won shit until they have 4 victories in the series.

Damn, they will have beaten the last four champions in that scenario.

If the league in any way is trying to promote the Thunder as the next team to dominate the NBA, they certainly will get that point across given that path to an NBA title.

OKC is not a marketable team, tbh..

As much star power as they have, they still play in Oklahoma..

Being landlocked and in middle America sucks when it comes to being marketable. There are some exceptions.

What is there to do in Oklahoma aside from running a farm, having sex with your siblings, riding horses, using meth, chasing wicked Tornadoes and/or paying respects to the Oklahoma City federal building bombing of 1994?

we are winning the series & the NBA title this year because if we don't, our squad is breaking apart and our Big 3 would turn out to be the biggest joke in NBA history. it's gonna be a tough challenge in boston but we're getting through it i believe, and that's the time when real champions are made, 12 is the start of a decade long history, my niggas :cry

Agreed .. Both these series have heated up and the Finals should be quite interesting no matter who makes it. Including Boston/OKC tbh.

And 4 of the last 5 in the other scenario. Either way, they beat 4 of the 6 teams who've won a title in the post-Jordan era, accounting for 11 of 13 titles over that span.

Mavs, Lakers and now the Spurs are found that to be true.If the Mavs didn't get rid of the defensive player of the year then we win that series...I hope you know that.

I think a Celtics/OKC matchup would still go six or seven games...OKC would probably prevail though.

There's no reason to believe it's going to go 7 games in the West. It could, but it would require the Thunder to collapse and I don't think that's going to happen unless they get injured or RW reverts to Kobe mode.
