As far as I'm concerned, he didn't get enough shots. As well as Parker played, I thought he forced the issue a few times when Jax was wide open on the perimeter.

Jax is amazing. Ultimate warrior.

Unfortunately the NBA would have none of his heroics.

It's a sad day in professional sports when a guy is penalized for showing some galls. Taunting rule or not, if you're going to call it on one guy, you should call it on all guys. Unfortunate for Jackson, he was robbed a chance to further his legacy (however humble it may be).

Thank God Capt. Jack came back!

He's still got some gas left in the tank.....looking forward to next season

He's a good vet for Kawhi to learn from, too. Both positives and negatives

Jackson is a hero to San Antonio. I was in awe at his play.

I doubted the Spurs had heart to pull it out, but he was a warrior. He got a T, which is the attitude we need.

He never needs to leave us again...

hope he stays for life
but i dont want someone like him wasting his talent on a team that probably isnt going anywhere
id love for manu/jak to be sent to a contending team so they could keep piling up the rings
manu on chicago would be the second guy they need to go all the way
but no one know whats gonna happen to rose

Regular season he shot 33% from 3pt land at .9 made per game. In the playoffs? 72% on 1.85 3s made per game.

Landing Jack was such a turning point for the season. All I really wanted was some physical defense at the three and he delivered a lot more. Jack will always be my favorite supporting player in franchise history; just wish like hell we could be cheering for him in the black and silver from 2004-2011 too.

Stephen Jackson was born to be a Spur, and I'm glad he's back. Even though we didnt win tonight, his legend grew even bigger tonight as a Spur. Thank you Jack, can't wait to see you in a silver and black jersey for a full season next year! :toast

It's sad that Danny Green or somebody else couldn't have stepped up alongside Jack to make this series more competitive. For a lot of the past few games, Jax was the only one on the court ready to lay down the law. His effort was legendary, and it would have earned him enshrinement in the Robert Horry Hall of Basketball Clutch if the spurs could've won it.

Its amazing how Jax increased his Spurs legend status tonight. Is there any Spur that has only played 2 1/2 seasons with the team who is as loved as Jax?

Fucking warrior man. I remember watching a game against the Warriors earlier this season right after the trade. The warriors color crew guarnteed Jax was going to play extremely well in the playoffs.

They weren't wrong were they?

Stephen Jackson. Spurs Legend.

Watching Jack was the highlight of the season for me. When he showed up for Game 6 I knew they had a chance. I can't say enough good things about Jack.

To me, he proved that clutch does exist without any shadow of a doubt. I agree, if we had won that game and gone to the Finals his jersey should be hanging from the rafters. Conversely, Bonner should be hanging from the rafters too...by a noose. Joking, joking, these are jokes...

Yep, a player I never care about PCT during the regular season (Horry was one too) because you know when it's time he will hit when it matters! You can have the DANNY GREEN and Bonner stats all year and defend them saying they shoot 40% plus from three, but you know the certain players have that IT and some just don't have IT. Jackson has IT. I can't wait to see him all year next year.
thanks captain. it's been awesome to watch you again in a spur uniform

OH is it! I wish he never left this team. I wonder how many rings we would have if he had stayed.

Jack was great, but I see a trade for him this offseason. His expiring is gold, and it's more likely we get a quality player through a trade then free agency.

Stephen Jackson IS a quality player.

Period.

He is a quality player. But he's 35 years old. If you want to build for the future, he's the perfect piece. Lots of teams will trade young talent for expirings given new luxury tax.

The extra cap space after next year won't be worth much bc it's hard to sign superstar free agents to come play in SA, especially when the team is close to rebuilding.

I like what Jackson did for us but he only makes sense if we have a great shot at a title. I think this is as close as we get with the big three.

If we want to make another run, keep him. Leadership and experience behind our second year SF Kawhi is perfect.

If we want to blow it up, send him to a contender he deserves it. He's awesome i wish the dickhead front office never let him walk all those years ago.

Building for the future is a loser mentality.

Look, we have a one or two year window, tops, for the remainder of the Tim Duncan era. You don't insult Tim, or the big three for that matter, by starting to rebuild while they still have a pulse. You go balls out for another ring.

And if you're serious about going balls out for a ring, you can't trade the guy with the biggest pair on the team.

Exactly. Tim's probably wanted Jack back for a while now like me and I'm pretty sure he'd be pissed if the Spurs traded him after he was one of the only players that went all out.

I think every team along the way would disagree with you, ultimately, but what I will say is that he's always been a great Spur. He never stayed here in one contract long enough to burn his bridges like he did everywhere else.

A happy Jack is a great thing. An unhappy one is an unholy terror. I would like to keep him next year, but even if Tim signs for two, I'm not sure you want Mr. Hyde the year after that.
