The Mavs had to beat a team that had historically owned them in the regular season and playoffs and the Mavs did not have home court advantage either. And let's not forget that Phil Jackson's teams are basically invincible when they win game 1 of a series.

Dallas had a harder route, Lakers underperformed again, Mavs put up a fight but couldn't pull the trigger in the 4th and Spurs crumbled after 2 decisive wins. If they see Miami in the finals, I don't think they will be as strong since Bosh is an iffy and Wade is older.

Thunder's run is really impressive, but Mavs last year tops it. Swept a better Laker team, beat the Thunder (who are basically the same team as this year's Thunder) and beat the Heat. That is going to be a hard run to top.
