The bleacherreport article (yes I know BR), got me thinking about this guy. He actually had a good playoff series against LAC. I suspect the Gizz will have to either let him, Author, or Haddadi go (if not more than one) given how much money they have committed to Gay, Gasol, and Randolph already.

They are going to end up trading Gay this offseason IMO. He's been on point saying he's unhappy. They will look to go in a different direction. I see them keeping Arthur to Speights.

I don't want him. Too stupid.

This. He makes Francisco Elson look like a Rhodes scholar.

Griz issue qualifying offers to Arthur, Speights, making them RFA. Won't issue QO to Mayo or Hudson. CA story coming...

Grizzlies have reached an agreement on a 2-year deal with Mo Speights, per a source. Roughly $7 million total. 2nd year is a team option.

Not a bad deal for the Grizzlies at all.

I wonder what's going on with Arthur. He was great in college and he played so well against us in the 2011 playoffs. I know he had a serious injury but i haven't heard much about him since.

Most of his NBA career has been "meh".

I agree Cobra, but he was never given a real chance tbh.

He is in the same path of Tiago. As long as Z-Bo is in Memphis, he will never have the chance to prove himself as a starting PF. Before the injury, he was basically a 3rd big coming off the bench.

Anyway, for the kind of contract Speights is getting, i would consider Arthur if Diaw or Lorbek deals do not work.

Mo Speights' new deal is 2 yrs nearly $9 million w/ 2nd yr PLAYER option, CA has learned

He essentially took his QO with the security of a second year if he doesn't like the market next summer.
