Steve Novak has agreed to terms with New York, his agent Mark Bartelstein says.

Wow. Spurs grant Novak a release during training camp so he can signs with the Knicks ... and the results is a $15 million contract. Props to him. No way I'd pay the worst defender in the league that type of money but, still, props.

NY loves him. 55% from the arc last year. I guess they have good enough defenders behind him to pickup the slack.
Wonder why he wasn't even half as good with us as he was in his first year with the Knicks. :lol

I'll bet he's more capable than Bonner of consistently hitting shots in the playoffs. Playing in the garden is probably the biggest stage in the NBA. Meanwhile, the only stage Bonner dominates is the concrete courts of Concord New Hampshire Parks & Recreation.

I wonder if the last year of the deal is guaranteed? IIRC Bonner's deal was 4 yrs/$14 mil but no guarantee on the last year.

The only detail given is that it's 4 years with no options.

Actually, the worst defender in the league is Steve Nash...by FAR.

That was during that horrible losing streak during the end of last season. I wanted to put my foot through the TV after that.
Wasn't Timmy hurt during that time?
It wasn't as if the Spurs were stacked last year, either...

Well, we didn't get the #1 seed for nothing that year, either.
Manu was going HAM that year, tbh...
13-1 start.

He suffered the Bonner effect in the playoffs. I am tired of seeing our shooters not be able to deal with it. They're not going to leave you wide open from the arc in the playoffs. No one wins in the playoffs by doing that. You have to be able to do something else like take a few steps in and make a pullup jumper. It keeps the offensive rhythm going and punishes the defender for the aggressive closeout.
