He was a starter last year. Does he even want to sign somewhere as a backup?

He could probably sign as a starter with the Heat or Lakers if he wanted to. Why come here to back up Parker?

Well I think he would love playing in are system with the players we have to surround him. I also still feel we can ring if we get the right players. Back up pg was one of the spots that needed to be upgraded.

Nash isn't riding the bench anywhere, and there's no fucking way in hell he comes to San Antoio after our history.

He'll probably sign with the Heat and be a perfect fit

If Nash was willing to sign with the Spurs, would the Spurs then trade Parker and go all in one last time?

No. Nash plays very few minutes, and our lack of a PG, already a problem, becomes a MUCH bigger one. He's also worse defensively than Gary Neal. He's also a ball dominating PG, dribbling out at least 18 seconds every possession. The ball does NOT move, other than in his hands. That makes him a terrible fit here. He doesn't fit our offense and cannot play any defense.

Don't bother worrying. Nash isn't coming here.

In the Nash sign-and-trade, the #Suns will get 2013 & 2015 first-round picks and 2013 & 2014 second-round picks.

Lakers got raped tbh.

Might as well. They won't be contending for some time after Kobe goes.

Well, imo, the Lakers are going all in. I don't see them trading or getting rid of Kobe anytime soon. If they are going to do anything, it's with this core of players (minus Bynum, but even that's a stretch). The Lakers sure did get raped in the long run, but with this core, I'd take a player of Steve Nash's caliber over Blake and Sessions anyday...even if that means contending for this year and the next if possible.

In short, the Lakers are doing what they can to compete in the short term.

Wouldn't be surprised if Bynum for Howard is the next domino.

Nash to the Lakers? Sure does make that Ramon Sessions trade look even better. Yikes. They give away draft picks like it's candy.

Isn't the best move for the Spurs doing nothing in free agency anyway?

tbh, there isn't much to get upset about. This isn't a free agent bonanza like some years.

Apparently, Kobe convinced Nash to go there and get the phoenix GM to do a sign and trade. Maybe TP can do the same thing to convince Batum to play the 2 and go to the Spurs? I wouldn't give up 4 draft picks for Batum, though.

He also wanted to be close to his kids.
