Who heard the OKC slurrpy session postgame talking about how OKC beat three past champiuons ended by saying "pretty cool". That motherfucker had no pain after loss. Coach of year huh. Motherfucker can't make adjustments. Loses 4 straight after winning 20 straight. No excuse. When they put Shefalosa on TP the move was to isolate TP against Sef let him outquick him. Instead he ran more pick and role. He didn't isolate TP once in second half after TP beat Sef at will first half.

Also how about calling officials out tactfully after game 5. Never speaks up for own team always sucks opponents ass. Building up opponents in front of refs only hurts your own team- Die pop die.

Most of us have watched Pop for years and by now we all know that Pop always does that. He's never going to dish effusive praise upon his own team nor is he going to verbally attack officials. He's going to celebrate the winner and give them their due. He's always a very gracious loser and humble winner. It may not be the popular approach, but that's just who he is and what he does.

Besides, the Thunder kicked our ass - no two ways about it. There's no point in bitching about the other stuff anyway.

Pop makes me sick because he's chosen to invest roster spots in a couple of softie-type bigs as opposed to a couple of young asskickers.

Well, his good friends are all running the Thunder, so I imagine his feelings would be that if he doesn't win, he hopes they do.

OP needs Mike D as a coach. He never credits the opposition and whines about everything.

Pop makes no excuses. He credits those who've bested him. It's a tight industry, they all end up working for or with each other eventually. Can't burn bridges.

Regardless, the truth is the Spurs just met a better team.

Pop gets paid by the Spurs, not by the league. Research "franchise".

pop knows not to say anythign about the officiating because it could easily get worse if he rocks the boat. might as well just swallow your pride since you're a millionaire and have already had it pretty good anyways.

Starting Manu alongside Parker in game 6 = (like the emo kids say) "EPIC FAIL!!!"

No balance between the starting lineup and the bench.

The bench no longer had a fresh play maker and closer.

Don't remember exactly but did OKC start Harden in game 6 ?

It's not just that. That wasn't how we won 20 straight. If Pop wanted to make that change he should have done so earlier.

once Pop started mixing things, i started worrying too. but do you think he would have done that if Parker and the role players hadn't shit the bed so much? i don't think he would have.

I wish Pop would call out the officials more, but i guess it's that military/company man side of him that he handles things internally. it's frustrating as a fan, least Duncan spoke his mind.

After the 20 game winning streak threads were popping up on how Pop is one of the best coaches of all-time if not the best behind Phil...some of you people are pathetic. :lol

Instead he ran more pick and role.

The pick & Role is not effective unless you incorporate it with the triangle defense….

I think the Spurs issues were all on confidence. I don't know why Pop couldn't get them to play more confidently. His I want nasty rant in game 1 worked but that was it. Also his panicking didn't help their confidence. At some point the Spurs stopped believing in the pass and started doing too much individually. That falls on Pop.

Of course he was hurting! Anyone could see that. He was miserable.

Pop was gracious in defeat, and that speaks volumes for his character.

Pop is the greatest coach in the league. Without him, the team is no better than the 76ers.

Pop's got no excuses this time. He can't claim they were injured or had loss their offensive rhythm. He simply got outcoached. The Thunder learned how to beat the Spurs by watching and imitating how they played in games 1 and 2. The Spurs had a letdown in game 3. Then game 4 they played better and it was a close game. Then in game 5 Pop overreacted by starting Manu.

I thought the Spurs had the coaching matchup in the bag but now it's clear that Scott Brooks was the better coach and not simply because he won but he made moves that actually helped his team and also the fact he is able to get his team to play hard every night.

I would call BS and say without POP this team does not get near this far, infact the minutes he managed all year to keep them fresh and so on was amazing IMO! They did what they could with the talent they had IMO, after that OKC caught fire and were just the better team IMO, younger and fresher. Pop did a great job this year, period.

If you couldn't see that that OKC was the better team, theres really not alot of hope for you. Agreeing with slvrblk mystix definitely puts you in a "special' catagory on here.

Look the Spurs didn't play their best basketball. Did OKC force them to turnover the ball like a hot potato? Did OKC force them to lay an egg in game 3? From game 3 onwards the Spurs didn't play Spurs basketball for long enough. That's on Pop. You have to have your team ready to play.
