View Full Version : Reacquire Mahinmi
Mahinmi will be a free agent this summer. Will Spurs right the wrong and take him back? Given enough minutes, he seems more useful than Bonner/Blair in the playoffs. Tall, great size, athletic, can shoot mid-range, good FT% for a big. A legitimate real big on the bench. I even suspect he can be of better use than Splitter in some situations.

The Spurs should stop with the patchwork solutions and go for a big that can first of all defend. Tim can't be the lone defender of the paint.

You think Bonner/Blair plays better defense than Mahinmi?

A point I've been making for about four years now.
Mahinmi came off the bench for Brendon Haywood.

Blair plays good defense, he's just shorter than the majority of players he defends

How about going after a player like Ibaka? The Thunder might not be able to keep all their guys.

Here's what we do:
Tiago/Blair for Lowry
Parker for Millsap/Kanter
Championship
Let's get Lebron James and Kevin Durant to come to the Spurs, and let's see if we can get Rondo as a backup PG. Howard might want to come here then, and if that happened, KG would be a lock.

How about this instead?
Let's get Royal Ivey and resign James Anderson for 5 years $120 million and let's see if we can get Tyronne Lue as backup PG. Greg Ostertag might want to come here then, and if that happened, Jason Collins would be a lock and then we can get :lobt:

Why?
Lowry/Manu/Kawhi/Millsap/Duncan would be a sick starting five.
