:lol but son in this situation, this rigging made no sense at all. This decision just cost boxing millions, and probably even billions of dollars. The sport is already in joke status, and now they just buried their top 2 guy, who was going to be slated to fight the top 1 guy in a fight that would have clearly been the highest ppv buyrate in the history of television.

OP is an ignorant fuck who doesn't know anything about boxing. Thinking that a record makes another fighter better.

Manny has fought anyone at anytime while Floyd ducks the fuck out of everyone until they get older, I mean De La Hoya came out of retirement to fight Floyd.

Manny will destroy Floyd, and Manny beat Bradley 10-2 I have it. Either way...wasn't even close. Boxing is rigged and it is getting worse and worse.

Oh and to prove I'm not biased and shit...Pacquiao lost the recent decision against Marquez most definitely. Anyone who has half of a brain knows Manny destroyed Bradley tonight.

Matter of fact, before the fight started. Letterman and HBO crew already criticized the judges. Saying the Ross and Howard that no business judging a fight of this magnitude. They are simply inexperienced and worrisome. However, they said Roth was a good judge.

I don't know why you bring a woman to judge in a men's sports.

Bareknuckle FTW.

Speaking of faggots, Pacquiao made some negative comments about them. I wonder if that had any consequences in the judging.

Hey BRHornet45, do you think the faggots that go to the Bohemian Grove every year had anything to do with this?

Floyd Mayweather seeks release

Updated: June 12, 2012, 3:23 PM ET
Associated Press

LAS VEGAS -- Lawyers for Floyd Mayweather Jr. say the undefeated champion is getting out of shape in solitary confinement and may never fight again if he's not released from the cramped Las Vegas jail cell where he began serving a three-month sentence earlier this month.
In an emergency motion filed Monday, lawyers asked the court to move him into the general jail population -- something that jail officials had avoided out of fear for the celebrity's safety -- or put him in house arrest for the rest of his sentence.

http://espn.go.com/photo/2009/0710/box_g_mayweather_65.jpg
Mayweather

The jail's "conduct may cause, not just huge financial harm to Mr. Mayweather, but also huge emotional harm if he is no longer able to pursue his boxing career because of the deconditioning he has suffered," lawyers wrote.
Las Vegas police officer Bill Cassell declined to comment on the specific claims in the motion, but said jail administrators were keeping Mayweather in isolation to prevent fights.
A hearing on the motion is set for Tuesday afternoon.
Mayweather pleaded guilty in December to misdemeanor domestic battery and no contest to two harassment charges that stemmed from an attack on his ex-girlfriend while two of their children watched. He was sentenced to three months and entered the jail June 1.
Mayweather's jail stay will be capped at 87 days because the judge gave him credit for three days previously served. It could be reduced by several weeks for good behavior.
In the motion, which was first reported by the Las Vegas Review-Journal, lawyers say Mayweather's personal physician, Dr. Robert Voy, visited the jail Friday and was concerned the 35-year-old fighter appeared to have lost muscle tone.

Voy estimated the boxer was consuming fewer than 800 calories a day -- a drop from his usual 3,000 or 4,000 calories -- and wasn't drinking enough because he isn't allowed bottled water and doesn't usually drink tap water.

Mayweather has been getting a little more than 30 minutes twice a day in a couple of barren recreation areas in the administrative segregation unit, Cassell said. His cell, no larger than 7-by-12 feet, has barely enough floor space for pushups and situps.
"I am concerned about Floyd withdrawing, developing anger he cannot dissipate through the usual means of dedicated exercise and training," Voy wrote in an affidavit. "Boxing has been Mr. Mayweather's life since he was a young man and we need champions of this type to continue to their natural retirement and hopefully their contributions to society thereafter."

Floyd Mayweather seeks release

Frankly, it's a true tragedy when a rich sports star is treated like a common criminal just because he committed a violent crime. Oh, the humanity. :cry :cry

WBO to review Bradley-Pacquiao

Updated: June 13, 2012, 12:43 PM ET
By Dan Rafael (http://search.espn.go.com/dan-rafael/) | ESPN.com

The WBO announced Wednesday that it will review Timothy Bradley's controversial victory over Manny Pacquiao in Saturday's welterweight championship fight.
Bradley, the WBO's junior welterweight champ, moved up in weight and claimed a split decision to take Pacquiao's WBO welterweight belt at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. However, there was a storm of controversy after judges Duane Ford and C.J. Ross both scored the fight 115-113 in favor of Bradley while Jerry Roth had it 115-113 for Pacquiao.

The vast majority of observers had Pacquiao clearly winning the fight, many in lopsided fashion. Top Rank promoter Bob Arum, who promotes both fighters, was outraged and has called on the Nevada attorney general to inquire about the scoring.

WBO president Francisco "Paco" Valcarcel, who was ringside for the fight, said his organization's championship committee will review the fight. He said that the committee "will meet soon" and "will examine (the fight) with five recognized international judges to evaluate the video of the match and agree to what emerges."

Valcarcel said the scoring judges' integrity played no part in his decision to review the fight.

"I want to clarify that in no way does this say we are doubting the capacity of these judges, which we consider as honest and competent judges," Valcarcel said.Pacquiao said after the fight that he would like a rematch, and Bradley also has said he would honor the commitment. Arum had Nov. 10 set aside for Pacquiao's next fight, whether against Bradley again or somebody else, well before Saturday's fight.

Who won or lost is irrelevant tbh. What's relevant about that fight is that it's now obvious that Pacquiao is past his prime. He peaked 2-3 years ago. The foot speed and combos that made him such a buzzsaw are gone. Floyd was smart to duck him for all these years, and now Pacquiao is ripe for the picking if Floyd so chooses...although, Floyd has declined himself, getting roughed up and nose busted by an old washed up ass Cotto, getting put on queer street by Grandpa Mosley, tbh.

You know there's a difference between real age and ring age, right? Fuckin n00b. You should know this since this also applies to basketball.

Style wise, Pacquiao has way more wear and tear than good old Floydie. With that faggot low contact style of his, you can continue to fight into your 40's, like B-Hop. Plus you have to factor in all the "vacations" Floyd has taken lol *cough* ducking *cough*, means even less wear and tear for him.

High energy, high contact fighters burn out faster.

You're welcome.

it's not Floyd's fault he's a savvy and smart boxer...nor is it his fault that he's faster than Manny and that Manny has been knocked the fuck out on more than several occasions...:lol

It's also not Floyd's fault that some people choose to age themselves by taking roids :hat

WBO scores fight for Manny Pacquiao

Updated: June 20, 2012, 11:54 PM ET
By Dan Rafael (http://search.espn.go.com/dan-rafael/) | ESPN.com

The WBO completed its review Wednesday of Timothy Bradley's controversial split-decision victory against Manny Pacquiao with its five-member international judging panel all scoring the fight for Pacquiao, even though the official result will stand.

Pacquiao told The Associated Press from the Philippines on Thursday that he would prefer a rematch rather than Bradley giving up the WBO welterweight title that he won on a split decision because "people may think I just usurped it."
Bradley's victory on June 9 instantly became one of the most controversial decisions in boxing history. While judges Duane Ford and C.J. Ross both had Bradley winning 115-113, Jerry Roth scored it 115-113 for Pacquiao, who suffered his first defeat since 2005.
"My supporters shouldn't worry. We're going to get that title," said Pacquiao, who has the option of an immediate rematch with Bradley in his contract.
The HBO broadcasters and nearly every media member at ringside had Pacquiao winning. The crowd at the MGM Grand booed the decision heavily and there was fan outrage around the world from people believing Pacquiao clearly had won.
In the aftermath of the fight, WBO president Francisco "Paco" Valcarcel, whose organization sanctioned the title match, said he would have five judges review the video of the bout. On Wednesday, the results of that review were released. The five judges, whom Valcarcel said are accomplished judges with world title experience -- but whose names were not disclosed -- scored the fight for Pacquiao, 118-110, 117-111, 117-111, 116-112 and 115-113.

Valcarcel said the WBO has no authority to change the result. But given the outcome of the panel's review of the fight, he will order a rematch if Top Rank promoter Bob Arum declines to put on a second fight, or if Pacquiao opts not to exercise his rematch clause.

Top Rank and Pacquiao, however, simply could move on to another fight that just would not be for the WBO title.
"We can't change the result but we did this review for two reasons," Valcarcel told ESPN.com. "If they want to make a rematch, we will approve the rematch and if they don't, we will order one. Also, we wanted to show (the Nevada State Athletic Commission) that they could bring in other officials from outside of Nevada who can also do a fine job judging fights. It's good to have different officials."
Nevada generally selects officials from its own pool of in-state judges.
"We want to work together with Nevada and we think they should be open to other good officials from around the world," Valcarcel said. "But we are not questioning the honorability of the judges who scored the fight for Bradley. They are honest people. They are good officials, too, but I don't know what happened."
Valcarcel, who was ringside for the bout, said he scored it for Pacquiao, "but we have to respect the judges."

The five judges, whom Valcarcel said are accomplished judges with world title experience -- but whose names were not disclosed -- scored the fight for Pacquiao by scores of 118-110, 117-111, 117-111, 116-112 and 115-113.

Pacquiao is due to return to the ring on Nov. 10 and after the fight, he said he wanted the rematch. Bradley also said he would like to fight Pacquiao, which would mean even more money than the career-high guarantee of $5 million he received. However, since the fight, Top Rank's talk of a rematch has cooled.
Arum, who promotes Pacquiao and Bradley but who also was outraged by the decision, was pleased with Valcarcel's review.
"Paco acted very responsibly," Arum said. "I think what they did was fine."
Arum, however, did not address the rematch.
"I'm not talking about it now," he said.
After the fight, Arum was so disgusted that he called for the Nevada Attorney General to investigate the scoring. Arum told ESPN.com that he met in his Las Vegas office Wednesday with a chief investigator and a deputy from the Nevada Attorney General's office.
"I think they will look into the whole situation, but I don't think there is any wrongdoing here and we can go on with our lives," he said.
