"..Oh yes...they float...". (Shudders) gave me the chills as a kid. I don't see how the remake could have the same freakish nature but who knows.

I saw the The Hangover 2 last night on HBO again last night and it was still sucked.
Sequels are always a crap shoot. Few times are they as good as the original.

This is precisely why I haven't watched HO2. The first was so good at keeping you off balance. There's no way they can duplicate that again, much less twice IMO.

I've been wanting an "It" remake for a long time. As a kid I thought the film was scary, but as an adult it's hilarious more than anything. Full of plot holes, stupid dialogue, bad acting (from the adults more specifically), and moments you just couldn't take seriously (Tim Curry sitting on a railing telling Prince Albert jokes, the balloons, etc). To me, a remake has HUGE potential.

I don't consider it a remake since the first was just a made for TV miniseries. I'f also love to see The Stand made with a big budget and high profile actors.

:lmao at The Hangover III's plot:

The Hangover III will explore the childhood of the main characters. We will learn how the little rascals became the partiers we know today. They will start with age 1, but the core of the move will be the early teen years where the original hi jinx began.

I saw the Hangover 1 and thought it sucked. No sense in seeing the second one or third.

That childish kind of funny doesn't work for me anymore.

Yup. Hangover was decent but Hollywood has obviously figured out that stupid people will pay almost ten fuckin bucks a ticket to see the same shit over and over again.

Too many remakes, reboots, and sequels to shitty movies. They'll probably reboot Batman next year while remaking Old School with a sequel to Battleship.

Batman will be rebooted

Nolan wont direct it, but he will work as an advisor to make sure they dont screw up

What's so funny about another Iron Man sequel? And it's been known that there would be a third one for several years.

Also, Judge Dredd could have potential when you dont have an Italian dude who talks sideways as the main guy.

Now you're talking. I recall reading somewhere that The Stand was to serialized into 3 movies.

As it stands, The Mist is the best adaption of a King story/book IMO.
The Dead Zone a close second.

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat. The Mist was almost nothing like the story. The Stand was WAY better. 5 day miniseries that aired on regular TV back in the day and was extremely true to form. The Green Mile and Stand By Me also are way better.

But the best was Shawshank.

The fucking Mist? REALLY??!?!?! LOL

There are plenty of great movies out there. I don't know why people bitch about bad movies being made. Don't watch them. There's probably more good movies being made each and every year these days than ever before.

I love Jackson and Oldman but dammit, you can't improve perfection. Fuckers.

The ending was absolutely hilarious. When I watched it at work, we all started laughing. It was just too stupid to not laugh :lol
