NBA Finals
Miami Heat @ San Antonio Spurs
Spurs Starters:
PG: Tony Parker
SG: Daniel Green (back in starting lineup according to spurs.com)
SF: Kawhi Leonard
PF: Tim Duncan
C: Tiago Splitter (according to spurs.com)
Spurs Key Reserves: Manu Ginobili, Boris Diaw, Stephen Jackson, Gary Neal
Heat Starters:
PG: Mario Chalmers
SG: Dwayne Wade
SF: Lebron James
PF: Chris Bosh
C: Joel Anthony
Heat Key Reserves: Shane Battier, Mike Miller, Norris Cole, Dexter Pittman
My Prediction: Spurs come out early with good lead but Heat will eventually fight back. Chris Bosh is playing very well after his injury and he will be the key for Miami as he has shown the ability to spread the floor well as well as be effective in the post. On Spurs side, the ball needs to consistently move and not stay because of Heat's great perimeter defense. With no decent shot blockers such as Serge Ibaka such as on previous series with OKC, Spurs should be able to run pnr a lot easier with Joel Anthony and points of penetration or points of kicking out for open three pointers should be available for Spurs. Like the Thunder series, Tim Duncan does not have much advantage of posting up on either Bosh or Anthony at this point of his career so Spurs will not play inside out. I predict Pop will not go 10-deep in this series either although I do expect to see Dejuan Blair to get some minutes, mainly because Heat's frontline is not as physical as Thunder's. I expect Bonner to still be ineffective but I predict Diaw to be a major contributor off the bench in this series. On defensive side, if Leonard can guard James well and the help defense is good in the paint of crowding Wade they should be fine. Spurs must also not turn the ball over because just like the Thunder our turnover equals a dunk on the other side by Wade or James.
My prediction: Spurs 100, Heat 90
