The best thing about that link is I learned that as an alternative to GDP the whacky environmentalists have created a Happy Planet Index (HPI) which combines life satisfaction, life expectancy, and ecological footprint. And they rank China above the US :lol.

May be crazy, but it looks interesting still. I haven't read the attached links yet, but I'm going to.

I find the algae in the arctic real interesting. I can only start to imagine it's effect, or degree of effect.

Algeria rates #26, Cuba #12, Columbia, #3.

If Cuba is such a great place to live, why have so many fled and died trying to make it here, rafting to Florida?
