It's somewhat official I guess. He cited some paper I have never heard of. Anyone else hear it?
Simmons is still reporting?

It's impossible to know at this point whether Lorbek is going to sign or not. Simmons is just going off the report in the Spanish newspaper.

Exactly. All the latest reports have the same source and it's not the most reliable one.

inside sources have told me pop wasnt pleased with duncans consistency in the finals
he plans on letting him go and handing the keys to the frontcourt to the plus-minus king
lorbek will back him up and splitter will give him his gatorades

My gues is if they do sign Lorbek, Splitter will be handing out Gatorades on some OTHER bench.

6'10" 250lbs 28 years old which is prime for an athlete. Let's bring him in. He can be no worse then Boner Blair or Splitter. Time for some new blood.

Thanks for the news.
As long as he hasn't signed , I'm' going to be careful with Lorbek. His entourage (his dad) seems to be a little wild. I remember last summer with the NT drama. I wouldn't be overly surprised to see Lorbek signing at the last minute a big contract in Europe even more that he hasn't shown in the past a great interest for the NBA.

I'm not expecting Lorbek to be here next year. Unfortunately, I am expecting Bonner to be here next year. Everyone agrees he should be gone...but based on what reality will he actually be gone? He has years left on his overpaid contract. Who wants that? The Spurs are stuck with him.

Messina is back to CSKA.
That's a very viable alternative to the Spurs.
I dont' see Lorbek signing with the Spurs for less than 3.5-4 M /3 years.

Agreed on the dad issue.
All local sport magazines/shows/journalists are reporting this as a rumor and all are citing the same Spanish article.

Well, Lorbek and Krstic would be very hard to stop.
And Messina used Lorbek well in the past.
