View Full Version : Stern Brings Balance to League
Had the Lakers deal not been nixed by Stern, they likely are in the Finals this year and probably win. For Basketball Reasons (tbh), that didn't happen. Now we have an Eastern team finally about to win a ring that doesn't have the word "Celtics" on it for only the 4th time since MJ's Bulls dynasty.
The League ship is being righted even as we watch this moment unfold. All because of the love of a Jew. The only thing missing was a burro and palm leaves tbh.

Damn... cats still haven't figured out that "basketball reasons" was code for "not getting bent over by the Lakers like Chris Wallace reasons". Stern isn't stupid tbh... Odom and Scola would have sucked ass in NOLA and ruined all their cap space.

Sorry ma dude, no Stern balance attempts can save the spurs from the decades of mediocrity that draw near.
Enjoy the last few years of average spur basketball, you'll miss those. As soon as Jim and Manu call it quits... it's OVAH :lmao
Miami will roll for years, Kobe is done. You guys better hope for someone to gift you Howard or a trio of Gay, Love and Mayo tbh.

Oh please.
Parker will shut shit down in the west with his newly acquired eye patch fighting the good fight in a NY club. :lol We stacked!!!

Not worried one bit, they're the Lakers, they will be alright. History has proved that multiple times.

Fuck that shit. Stop allowing these inept Billionaires from buying NBA teams. NBA team FOs needs to stop hiring inept GMs that give retards like Rashard Lewis mega contracts and rueing the day they did that shit less than a year later.
The teams that do great things year in and year out are good owners that hire smart GMs (i.e. my beloved Lakers and the Spurs). Why penalize an organization for being good at what they do? I'm raising the bullshit flag on this thread. :td

Miami may roll - depends on how Wade and his $14.5M contract holds up.
Kobe is done in terms of playing 42 mpg at a high level; but in terms of giving us anything less than 25 ppg, get real - his jumper is going nowhere. Playing with skilled bigs like Bynum and Gasol, he should still be able to catch and shoot.
As far as "gifting" the above said players, in 2008, if I told you the Lakers could trade Kwame Brown's contract for Pau, would you believe me? :lol So imagine what Pau's contract can get the Lakers in a trade. :lol

:lol Lakerfan relying on history from before the new CBA to bail the Lakers out of their problems

:lol "Super taxes" coming in a couple years
:lol Kobrick will be making over $30 mil at age 35

Everyone isn't as stupid as Chris Wallace tbh, and they'll be even less stupid this time around after seeing how he got fleeced. :lol

had the lakers got done a CP for trashes deal like the gasol one in 08 they'd have been a formidable enemy to us. Lakers got the wrong target to prey on imho they ain't looting no good from stern's team w/o losing something of equal value

NBA was the owner of the Hornets and they didn't want to trade CP3 for garbage . Where was the problem?
Anyway CP3's Lakers wouldn't make the Finals
That trade was the correction that the Lakers historically make, and they got thwarted by the league that time.
With CP3 running the point, the Lakers would be a formidable opponent in the Finals. Imagine Kobe not having to dribble penetrate every possession, but instead gets set up on his spots and in transition by the greatest PG in the league.

Kobrick would still chuck up every shot and dominate the ball tbh... Kobrick needs a Fisher type who won't demand the ball and can bail his ass out from time to time...
Kobe is smart enough to adapt to his abilities and still win a ring I think. He did with Pau, and with a talent like Paul, he would know a ring is once again possible.
The Lakers missed their opportunity and allowed the Heat into the fray for years to come tbh.

agree, either the 11' mavs or a hypothetical lakers team with CP running the point would of beaten us in the finals, thank god neither of them came in real tbh
