Dude is a stud. Nothing phases him. He impressed the hell outta me this whole series. Is he giving free throw lessons over the summer?

No shit. MVP of the series, IMO. I mean, Timmy D deserves it, but Chauncy.... damn.

chauncey is a cold blooded killer, best piston in my opinion.

Hopefully coaches will give him an all-star nod this year.

Think we could get Dumars to send us Chauncey in exchange for TOny and Rasho?

The best point guard in the league.

We're KEEPING him! Forget it!

That said, when it's crunch time and I see Billups burn up the shot-clock just dribbling on the perimeter, and then force a pass or a shot (giving me flashbacks to Chucky Atkins), I know we're up against some serious damn defense....Spurs took C-note right out of his game when it mattered most, and that takes some doing. Ouch.

Billups and Ben were amazing this series. Hats off to them especially. Billups was the best player for much of the series. Ben was great on D and even solid on O. Played their hearts out.

Only thread where I will post this. Had it not been for Horry's 3 in G5 this might very well been Detroits championship. Billups was almost unstoppable after game 2.

I was telling my wife the whole game the SPurs were going to lose (reverse Karma).
Detroit played the Spurs teh best. The Pistonshave my respect.I am relieved the SPurs got away with this series. Ugly series but soooooooooooo good. Never felt so nervous!

Billups is the one Piston I feared.

I love Chauncey, especially how he dissapeared in the most important game.

:lol

A little harsh. But yeah he didn't dominate like he did for a lot of the series. He still had a solid floor game, setting up Ben Wallace for about 3 open dunks.

Chauncey is a big game player, and surely stepped up big time for his team this series.

Credit to him. But I am glad he didn't score in the crunch. :)

Ben is the Piston's engine, but Billups is their cold-blooded finisher.

Yeah that would be, because on of the people on the NBA's all-defensive team pretyy much took care of business. Good job Bowen. Props to Chauncey, but Bowen can play some DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

too many guards in the East:

V. Carter, Wade, Iverson, Kidd, Richardson, Pierce, Davis, Arenas, Francis, Marbury, Redd..etc etc

Richardson? Can't be Jason. It's definitly not Pooh. Quentin sucks.

This seems like as good a place as any to say this, but I hope you stick around Pistons > Spurs (big typo in there :p). Most certainly one of the better fans that go for another team.

Maybe Pistons = Spurs....probably a little more accurate.

If Spurs would of lost the Draft lottery they might of drafted him 3rd. (If they where 3rd).

Billups was huge. How he doesn't get nods for All-star...when he's MVP of the last FINALS, and would've been MVP of this Finals...is completely beyond me.

The most underrated player in the league.

Honestly, I believe Billups is the best PG in the NBA. He plays better defense than last season and he usually steps up to make the big plays (unless he's guarded by Bruce Bowen). Nash and A.I are two of my favorites but Chauncey is the man.

i'd still take nash over billups but the gap between them is nowhere near as huge as i thought. until tonight, he had been the best player in the series. incredible player.
