We've all had them, those things you were going to be/do when you grew up. Things you wish you were doing now instead of what you actually do. Who wouldn't want to be a pro athlete or play in a band? Who doesn't wish they could sing? Everyone who has lifted a weight would love to look in a mirror and see Mr. Olympia staring back.

One of my fantasies is...the mystery midnight DJ from parts unknown. Every week night at midnight there I am spinning (just sounds cool) some of the most.."that dude plays some monstrous stuff"...ever heard with no sponsers to tell me shit , nobody knowing who I am or where I'm at. Yet everyone wondering.."who is this guy?" Not unlike Wolfman Jack back in the day. Sure people knew who he was but none of us central (kids anyway) Cali-ites did. It was always..."who is this guy?" At first he was a black dude, he did play R&B, Soul and them blues, then he was suppose to be a short Mexican guy (he never sounded hispanic to me).

The night he was suppose to be on tv (forget what tv show) it was a big deal, finally...Wolfman Jack!

Anyway...

This would be my theme song, the song the country would hear every week night at 12 0'clock (being retired I could pull it off)

Johnny Otis (Hand Jive) discovered this guy singing in a restaurant parking lot with some buddies.

I'd play four song sets, these sets would have some theme/similiar as opposed to just throwing random shit out there. After a set a little talk about what was heard and something about the artists the songs. Who knew Rosie had a cold the night she and her Originals recorded the classic...Angel Baby, so her sound that night she could never duplicate. Talk about how Elvis ripped off Big Boy Crudup, Big Mama Thornton and Junior Parker, Elvis recorded their tunes and they never saw a dime. The white world wasn't listening to Big Boy, Big Mama or Junior in 1956.

I have an incredible idea that works like a charm for me and will probably work for you. It works like this, you search out threads that look like they might interest you, look for posters that seem to share your interests, then you click on those threads.
