All right, there are enough threads arguing about how OKC either reverted to the mean/were not helped by the refs/were crushed by MIA's defense. It's distinctly possible that advanced stats could help resolve this question.

If someone out there has access to either SportVu (http://www.sportvu.com/) or Synergy Sports Technology (http://www.synergysportstech.com/) (Note, I don't have access), the following numbers should be available to them. TiMVP for example, has posted analyses involving some of these numbers already (OKC vs SAS Shooting % from 16-23 ft).

We need 3 categories of Stats : 1) For OKC vs SAS 2) For OKC vs MIA 3) For OKC season totals/averages

Shots at given Distance

0-5 ft
5-15 ft
16 to 3 pt line
3Ptrs

FG %Percentage at a given distance

0-5 ft
5-15 ft
16 to 3 pt line
3Ptrs

Number of contested (or Uncontested – one leads to the other) shots at a given distance

0-5 ft
5-15 ft
16 to 3 pt line
3Ptrs

FG % Percentage of contested (or Uncontested – again, one leads to the other) shots at a given distance

0-5 ft
5-15 ft
16 to 3 pt line
3Ptrs

Shooting Fouls Drawn (at distance from the hoop)

0-5 ft
5-15 ft
16 to 3 pt line
3Ptrs

Can anyone out there supply these #'s?

The Heat don't believe in leaving players open.
