if we traded Parker, Blair, Neal, the rights to Lorbek and maybe (if Pop still plans to not start him) even Splitter?

Well that's hard tbh. Only great 7 footers left are Bynum and Howard. And both are drama queens. So for your question I think we can get them (excluding money and cap talks) but it won't be good for us imho.

What about Aldridge, Hibbert, and Chandler?

Besides, if by some miracle the Spurs landed Howard, you wouldn't be able to say you're disappointed with the acquisition.

You could probably get a 7 foot pole up your ass.

Margo Dydek? She was a Pole, and 7-2. But she died. Uh, make that Dyd.

Damn. Is everybody having their periods or what?

Maybe I should've asked this on draft night because obviously some of us have not gotten over the Spurs' collapse. :(

Ohh, I sense that you don't understand the concept of "sarcasm"

Well, for some misguided reason, I suppose I was expecting a straight, honest answer. How foolish of me for thinking that. :lol

I'll play.

If you think about it, we don't really have a 7 foot center problem do we? TD and Splitter have that pretty much covered. Really the issue for the 3rd straight reason is that 4 position. Keeping in mind we're not going to get a star/quasi star player at that position this summer do to cap restraints, availability, and shitty draft positioning, some project players I'd like to see the Spurs target include:

(1) Anthony Randolph
(2) Earl Clark
(3) Darrell Arthur
(4) Dan Orton

Lol @ earl Clark or Anthony Randolph being a solution.

Lol @ earl Clark or Anthony Randolph being a solution.

I never said they would be immediate "solutions." I did say that they were interesting projects, and think that in the proper program they might help in the longrun.

Its not really a 7' that is needed, really folks its not. Its the athletic 6'9 or better player. Splitter is fairly quick for a center but can't stay with many power forwards. Duncan as of today can't either. Diaw has the foot-speed but isn't quick, and sometimes gets tentative. I don't really think Lorbek is the answer speed, leaping and rebounding wise either.

Blair is slow, not progressing much offensively, and if anything regressing from a rebounding standpoint.

I see Lorbek as a replacement for Bonner. The guy doesn't even have to be offensively skilled, just get putbacks and drop off dunks, needs rebounding athleticism and defensive instincts.

The Spurs could bring into training camp and see what he's got, and if he stinks then let him go. No harm in taking a look.
