Although I hate the Celtics, they just made some great moves within the last 72 hours: Sullinger is starting material right now. Mello is that defensive center they haven't had since Porkins. Now this:

Celtics to re-sign forward Kevin Garnett to a three-year, $34 million deal, sources tell Yahoo! Sports.

All they need to do is resign Ray Allen. Avery Bradley and his Doberman perimeter defense is coming back. Rondo (already a stud) will be better. Pierce's game ages like fine wine. They can probably sign Jeff Green to a minimal contract too.

Sullinger and Mello will allow them to rest KG and give him Tim Duncan type minutes while these rooks get their feet wet. KG will be fresh in the playoffs. I'll take a fresh KG over Bosh anyday.

Don't count your ring(s) just yet LeBron. :nope

Allen's not coming back. Other teams will throw more money at him and he hasn't gotten along well with Rondo, not to mention losing his starting spot to a sophomore.

:lol

C's are done for now, they are in the rebuilding ship with LAL, SAS, Blazers, etc. They did do good in this draft so they are ahead of the old-folks pack at the moment.

True, true. The Lakers just won't admit it and the Spurs got ahead of everyone by drafting diamonds in the rough.

Celtics are done. KG isn't going to have a year like this year, he notoriously underwhelms the year after he's done ok, and remember he just resigned. Contract year players historically out perform expectations, even Tim did.

:lol The great start to Miami's dynasty. Now all the haters will be having increasing false hope that certain teams will beat them in a playoff series.

We'll see. Boston was old and injured last year. This year they're deeper, younger, and bigger in the froncourt.

Younger? The younger players they added are scrubs and the actual players with talent on that team are still very much old.

Sullinger isn't looking like a scrub, tbh. Green probably still is. :lol Courtney Lee... we'll see.
