So, Roy Hibbert, you gotta ask yourself somethin'. Big men and guys named Roy have trouble with 'dem knees up in Rip City. You gonna get yours, but at what cost? Think long and hard, sir.

Had to know Portland would do something like this. At least it's on 25% of BRI, correct? Hibbert only has one ASG appearance, and thus isn't eligible for the 30% of BRI, I think. Either way is way too much for him, since he's not some 22 year old with lots of potential. Hibbert is everything he ever will be right now, which is a really solid but not great center.

I would imagine Batum is gone if Indiana doesn't match?

I would imagine Batum is gone if Indiana doesn't match?

Not necessarily. They could still offer Batum something starting at up to about $11-$12 million or so. The Blazers have boatloads of capspace this season.

i like hibbert but max? not so much.. Indiana will probably match regardless, and either way portland can still keep batum as long someone dont go all out for him

It's overpaying, but there is no other decent option in this lousy class.

That's why teams are better off not overpaying.

Max contract if offered by Indy would be for 5 years with 7.5% annual raises. Portland can offer 4 years with 4.5% annual raises. If Hibbert signs the offer sheet, Indy will almost certainly match.

The Rockets and blazers net with Omer Asik last night. If Indy matches, Portland might turn that way as well.

What is Indy's cap space? This would be a huge chunk for a one time ALL STAR.

It was a joke how he made the All-Star team over centers like Noah and Chandler who i would take over him.

Yes, he gave out two bad ones a few summers ago. One is now gone the other comes off next year. Next summer they will have lots of space and three nice pieces in place all under 23. Also get back to me if your team ever wins something and stops being in the shadows of the Lakers.

Stupid. They should've drafted Drummond instead of Lillard.

In think the morons truly expected Drummond to slip all the way to 11, and when he didn't, they drafted the inferior Leonard as a consolation. . .now they're kicking themselves so badly over whiffing on Drummond that they're going to offer Hibbert 30-40% more than he's probably worth? facepalm.

We didn't have a super star in 04-05 or the five straight ECF. Brandon Knight is going to be a very good player to go with Monroe and Drummond. Those kids are all very young.

:lol 04 was a fluke year.
05 Detroit only got in due to Wade getting hurt which proved to be true in 06 when Miami dominated them.
07 they lost to a 1 man team. While 08 was the best team in the Saunders era, they weren't elite that year either.

This is a superstar league. You need those to win a championship. 2004 doesn't change that. And :lmao if Knight ends up being Detroit's best player. "Very good" will only get you so far.

Miami was up 3-2 on Detroit(After Miami dominated them in game 5) and then Wade got hurt . This gave Detroit life back. 2006 proved that Detroit got lucky in 2005. Miami handled them pretty easily that series.

Yes. Cornholing a team with as many issues as the 04 Lakers had wasn't THAT impressive.

Yes. Cornholing a team with as many issues as the 04 Lakers had wasn't THAT impressive.

The Lakers were a good team loaded with Shaq and Kobe and Malone. No one gave the Pistons a shot going into that series. The fact that the Pistons raped them and basically sweep them sure was a fluke.:lol
