I’m not as down on the Mavs as Gary sounds … and Dwill will help, if you get him.
You still have a free spending owner, a great arena and a good fan-base. Gary is right though, Dwill is not enough. And Dirk may never be as good as he was last season, but you guys will still be very good but the title window was closed in the off-season.
I was telling another buddy you guys should of found Dirk his “Drexler” in the off-season to help him defend what he worked so hard to attain. The window was 2 years just like Olajawon who won his titles, during Jordan’s 1.5 year retirement. We all know Lebron and Durant are the present superstars but I thought the Mavs could of MAYBE squeaked one more ring before they lock down the league. I know Louis hopes they don’t win, but you guys made the Heat the favorites by “tapping out” of this season …maybe OKC or the spurs can change that, but I doubt it.
