East:

1. Miami - No question.
2. Indiana - IF they re-sign Hibbert, otherwise they're looking towards a 5th seed
3. Boston - No, Nets/Knicks, you aren't gonna steal the Atlantic Division title yet
4. Chicago - D-Rose will be out for the first half of the season, so the Bulls will struggle producing offense. Given how much Thibs runs his team into the ground for top seeding...
5. Brooklyn - DWill/JJ/Crash is the best 1-2-3 combo the Nyets have had since Kidd/Carter/Jefferson. :lol Add guys like Humphries for rebounds, Brook for scoring, and guys like Evans and Brooks for the bench and they look good.
6. New York - Melo and Amar'e cannot coexist without a good PG.
7. Atlanta - Barring a Horford trade they will be in the playoffs.
8. Philly - They'll have a 41-41 record then make Miami go to 6 games

West

1. OKC - Durant will probably win MVP because LeBron having 4 in 10 years seems unfair :lol
2. San Antonio - You really expect these guys to miss the playoffs?
3. Memphis - this team is scary when everyone is healthy
4. Lakers - Mike Brown will run Kobe into the ground again so he can have HCA in the 1st round
5. Clippers - looking good with the Odom trade, but they improved laterally, not upward.
6. Denver - Will lead in PPG, will still suck in the half-court and defense
7. Utah - They look good on paper again.
8. Minnesota - They were on the bubble until Rubio got hurt.

Thoughts?

East:
1. Miami - Ring James going for the chip again, tbh...
2. Brooklyn - even without Dwight, that team is way better than most of the shit out East...
3. Indiana - contingent on keeping Hibbert...
4. Chicago - almost by default, tbh...
5. Boston - Team TOSB getting knocked out the first round...
6. Philly - yawn...
7. Atlanta - see Philly...
8. Washington - yes, I'm serious... John Wall, Brad Beal, and Nene are an interesting squad... won't make any noise, but they'll be better...
:lol Knicks

West:
1. ChokeKC - Soon to become the former Rose Bulls of the West... regular season champs, stepping aside for the real teams come playoff time...
2. Clippers - CP3... MVP... CP3... MVP...
3. San Antonio - Pop still wants some nasty....
4. Memphis - As much as I hate them, they're still formidable, tbh...
5. Lakers - Why can't these TOSB's just bottom out and miss the playoffs...
6. Denver - Still fun to watch... still mediocre...
7. Utah - Meh...
8. Houston - They have to fall backwards into a playoff spot sometime, right?

Houston and their logjam at PF? Really? :lol

Yeah I can see CP3 having an MVP-level season like in 2008 - but Griffin/Odom/Butler could be a better supporting cast than Chandler/Peja/David West.

btw the teams I mentioned are not in order. I just wrote that off the top of my head. Too lazy to rank at this time and we don't even have a glimpse of the training camp rosters yet.

So you're telling me the West won't change at all?

How can anyone predict this shit when we don't know where Howard is going or who is getting signed? The only reasonable prediction right now is Houston in the 9-seed.

What? lol, Houston's definitely going to be the 2nd seed.

After D12's back surgery he's not gonna be as explosive. Sure he's young but players who rely heavily on athleticism aren't the same after a major injury.

And yeah, Rockets gonna 14th pick again :stirpot:

Odom's in a far better mindstate already... he's the versatile presence this team lacked coming off the bench last year... definitely better than that chucker Mo Williams... if we can get Ray Allen or Courtney Lee, we staaaaaacked tbh...

houston is the true #2 from bottom in the SW division though :lol

Paul doesn't have the explosion he did in 2008. He's gotten heavier too. His perimeter game has evolved nicely since then.

At this moment, understanding that this could all change with 1 or 2 major moves, I'd go:

1- Miami
2- Indiana
3- New York with Nash
4- Boston
5- Brooklyn
6- Chicago
7- Orlando with Howard
8- Milwaukee

1- OKC
2- San Antonio
3- LA Clippers
4- LA Lakers
5- Memphis
6- Denver
7- Minnesota
8- Dallas

:lol Knicks ain't no 3 seed with the TOSB Nash... they'd be 7th seed at best...

Feels pretty good seeing Brooklyn everywhere. Glad to have an NBA team in the BK.

Especially if they lose their best perimeter defender in the S&T.

:lol Knicks

Now that the TOSB Nash has joined the Lakers, I'll have to downgrade them to the 7th seed, tbh....

how do you improve laterally?

isn't that staying static, ie. not improving?

rayjayjohnson

East:
- Heat
- Nets
- Indy
- Bulls
- Knicks
- Celts
- Philly
- Hawks

Damn the east is weak.

West:
- OKC
- Lakers
- Clipshow
- Grizz
- Nuggs
- Spurs
- Hornets
- Could be anyone. Rox, Mavs, Minny, a healthy Bogut could make the Warriors decent...
