Robert Randolph's tweet looks right. #Knicks closing in on Steve Nash in sign and trade with Phoenix.

Phoenix needs to use this as a chance to get rid of a bad contract without getting Fields' atrocious deal if NY matches that.

The Knicks should have kept Mike D if they were eying Steve Dash (lol, dash, like leaving Phoenix.. lol ).

NY would be formidable in the East with Mike D's 7 second offense and the current roster would fit right in. At least they would be fun to watch.

The Knicks' management makes Elgin Baylor look like a genius, tbh...

Nash makes sense on the Knicks, tbh, as long as Woodson doesn't coach the offense..

They won't be winning a title, but they'll have enough firepower to push any team outside of Miami, tbh..

Not sure how they'd all play together, but a team with Nash, Amare and Carmelo are bound to give you a few "Wow" moments every night. And they'd at least have Chandler to make up for Nash's D-ficiencies.

They give you "wow" moments now, like "wow, I cannot believe he pulled up from there with 20 seconds on the shot clock" or "wow, I cannot believe Amare got a technical for running his mouth, up one with under a minute"

Nah man, maybe you're getting Lin for 4 years, $40 million.

I wonder why. He sucks.

Suns need to acquire some pieces to pass along to New Orleans as part of Gordon S&T.

Much better than getting nothing (if he goes to Toronto).

Knicks, Suns are in the critical stages of discussions on a sign-and-trade deal that would pay Nash $27M-$30M over 3 years, sources tell Y!

Adrian Wojnarowski (http://twitter.com/WojYahooNBA): NY package would include Iman Shumpert, Toney Douglas and likely 3 low money players to get Nash salary needed to close gap on Toronto offer 2 minutes ago (http://twitter.com/WojYahooNBA/statuses/220564873015332864)

If this goes through, Bryan Colangelo is stuck with Landry Fields at 3/20 without Nash.

Bruce Arthur (http://twitter.com/bruce_arthur): One factor: people close to Nash say he wants his ex-wife to agree to move the kids to the city he chooses. They've lived in New York. now (http://twitter.com/bruce_arthur/statuses/220570657782644738)

Tough defender though... with Nash instead of him, the Knicks' perimeter D will be a revolving door tbh.....

So Nash is going to make 9M a year - as high as that is, I am surprised it's not more. At least he's hopefully going to an interesting team. If I was NY I would only want expiring contracts and a draft pick.

While the Nash saga continues, the Suns will push for a Michael Beasley commitment today and host Raymond Felton tomorrow.

Pretty fucked up of Nash to take less money and shun the Canadians. Its not like NY will get him a ring or that he even cares about getting one.

Beasley will undoubtedly commit today. So the Suns could potentially add Eric Gordon, Iman Shumpert, Toney Douglas, and Michael Beasley to the roster, while losing Steve Nash and whoever is involved in a Gordon S&T.

We could have done a lot worse. (I love the Gordon signing).

I haven't watched Gordan much last season, he missed most of the games against the Spurs, but in the last meeting he played and he killed us. He totally lit us up and the Spurs couldn't stop him at all. Don't know if that means our defense was that bad or he is that good.

Spurs were up by 27 at halftime in that game and went 13 deep in the rotation. Gordon scored a bunch of points against the second and third string in garbage time that included most of the second half.

In the Suns' first game of the season last year, Gordon sank the game-winner against us with 4 seconds left and with absolutely no regard for human life.

Well, even though it wasn't with NY, PHX got what I thought they should essentially - draft picks and no added salary (even better they got a TE).

:lol I am sorry, but Shumps ceiling is not a 2 time MVP.
