or can that term be used for the lakers now? Nash is 38, and I read that Grant Hill might tag along with him. he'll be 40 in 3 months

Not when they have Kawhi Leonard as the future face of the franchise :lobt:

People still think the Spurs are old, because Duncan and Manu (2 of our best 3 pieces) are old.

Spurs will be old until Duncan retires, then all of a sudden it won't matter because the Spurs championship window will have closed.

The whole old debate is ignorant. Hakeem, Barkley, Shaq, Dirk, etc etc.....all won rings when they were past their prime. Being old doesn't disqualify a team from winning a championship.

The old debate only exists when a team is slow and unable to keep up defensively against an athletic team that runs; but Spurs in 2007 essentially showed that whole debate to be bunk when they ousted the young run and gun Suns.

I still remember how happy Barkley was when hoisted up the :lobt:

Yes & boring too, it's a moniker that will stick with the Spurs until Duncan & Manu are gone

Hakeem was 31 and 32 when he won his championships
Shaq was 29 when he won his last ring as the main player of the team
Nowitzki reached 33 in June playing the Finals

They weren't old. In fact 28-32 it's where a player is at his best.

Jordan is the only one who still was the best in the mid-30s but nobody can compare with him.
