dude also got god-given talents in soccer for some odd reason, if he chose soccer as his profession he'd have been one of the greatest guys to ever play that game tbh

Nash's first interview as a Laker :toast

Interview Summary - compliments of LG :lol

*Was surprised that Lakers traded for him. After 10 days saying that it would be hard to put on a Laker jersey, but understands things happen.

*Mitch called his Agent and inquired about him, Mitch asked if there was some truth about Nash not wanting to play for the Lakers which clealry wasn't true.

*Huge factor was to be close to his 2 daughters and son who were still going to live in Phoenix, and fortunately the Lakers were a great basketball opportunity.

*Kobe contacted him during his basketball camp at UCSB last weekend, and talked over about them fitting together - also got Mike Brown in the conversation. Kobe discussed that they would be great leaders on the floor together - Nash would be a positive leader, while Kobe is a crank the whip type of leader LOL!

*Nash states that Kobe wants to get easier looks rather than having to force the issue, and would also love a PG with Nash's ability to give easy looks for other players.

*Feels like he's in great shape. Gentry did a great job preserving his minutes over the years.

*Has a day by day approach regarding preperation. Doesn't want to get ahead in terms of championship aspirations. Feels that the pieces are in place to make a legit championship run. At the same time his phone keeps going off in the background

*Wants to win a championship not only for himself, but for his teammates. Realizes that winning a championship or not won't make or break his reputation as a player, but knows that he puts in the work and preperation in order to win one. Love his attitude!

*Looks forward to working with Mike Brown in terms of offense. Wants to create for his teammates and work on spacing.

*Was asked by Mychal Thompson who has a better PG the Clippers or Lakers - loves Chris Paul, but also mentions Russell Westbrook. Hopes the Lakers are the better of the two teams in LA, doesn't worry about who the better PG in the city is

*Asked about potentially recruiting Dwight Howard by Max Kellerman - says Dwight is a great player, but is looking forward to playing with Pau & Bynum who already are great in their own right. Follow up on what he would tell Dwight if he called him - wants to wait to sign his contract first

*Doesn't know what number he'll wear. Max & Mychal both suggested to wear #43 which Mychal wore with the Lakers. Didn't realize until last night that Wilt wore #13. Looking forward to change.

*Asked about Grant Hill - not sure what his status is currently (yeah right!) says whoever gets him will get a heck of a player who's hungry for a championship

*Regarding the Suns fanbase about him joining the Lakers - understands that some Sun fans will be upset, but knew it was time for him to go because the organization was moving on. Always grateful for the opportunity that the Suns gave him. Had to do the best move regarding his family & himself.

Overall, a great interview. Very excited to have Nash aboard. Can't wait to see how fluid the offense will now become. All smiles baby!

What they gonna do with Sessions?

He'll still be the starter. Nash will get Corey Joseph minutes.

Nash is already dreaming up new ways he'll be able to feed Kobe for his 12-dribble turnaround fadeaway.
