De Colo starting with Parker, now Parker on the bench he is running the point.

Not seen him attack the basket much, made some decent passes though

He wouldn't start ahead of pops and Freeland anyway.

Diaw is getting pretty skinny these days.

How often does France start Parker and De Colo in the backcourt?

P.S.

Box score anywhere?

Surprised France start with De Colo at the 2 when they have Pietrus. Do any Euro fans know if De Colo play the 2 a lot?

Parker gone to the locker room before start of 2nd

The Pietrus on FNT is Florent Pietrus, Mickael older brother. He is a PF.

De Colo has played as much PG than SG in the past 3 years.

Why isn't mickael pietrus playing? Will he be at the Olympics?

France looks pretty damn bad. Diaw is the only player playing at even a mediocre level. De Colo has looked bad -- no penetration or creation and shaky passes -- but hopefully that's just due to his recent travel.

GB is a lot sharper; I'm assuming they've been preparing for a longer period of time.

Anytime you think NBA refs are bad, just watch an international game and then thank your lucky stars.

Diaw (8) and De Colo (7) are leading scorers for France at halftime, but other than that, FNT not playing well.

Coach choice. Mickael Pietrus has a complicate relationship with FNT. The coach decided not to select him this year. After his non-selection, he ahd a knee surgery so he won't be at the Olympcis even if there are injuries.

de colo seems okay with the ball, made some pretty okay passes i thought near the end of that half. would like to see him attack space better...there was one pick and roll he could've split (you'd think) and he just kind of let the opportunity pass by. maybe tp will teach him how to spot that a little better.

One play in the 2nd I didn't like from De Colo he got picked inside the paint as he was trying to play help defense and as the pass kicked out to the 3 point line he just stood there in the paint and didn't attempt to get back leaving his teammate having to guard 2 players on the 3 point line, who played hot potato which lead to a 3.

Did Parker get hurt? He seemed to kinda limp to the locker room at one point and then looked pissed sitting on the bench. Now he's not starting the second half . . .

Hopefully the plan was just for him to play one stint in the first half to start getting back in shape.

Richie

De Colo with a good finish at the rim to start, then an airball

Yeah. He is icing his left knee. Doesn't seem too serious however.

Yeah, French refs are bad. They have a weak overall level.

Between bad refs and corrupted refs, FIBA is way below NBA in that aspect. That's a reason why I'm always careful when it comes to criticize NBA refs.

Impressive win. With Parker out, Manu Ginobili stepped up in the second half and led the team to victory with his indomitable will to win.

Oh wait . . .

It was quite an ugly game.

Diaw was fine. De Colo was so-so but was likely tired from his travel to SA. Parker played 5 minutes. I hope his "injury" is nothing serious. Diawara was good and he could make the final roster if Kahudi is injured. With Westermann, Forunier and Gobert, all born in 1992, FNT should be fine in the future.

Deng was a little a ballhog but he is a great player. As expected, GB looked very solid in the paint. If only they had better guards...

So, Parker isn't injured. They (the coach, TP and I guess too Spurs) decided before the game that Parker would only play 5/6 minutes since he hasn't played for a month.

Still, him being back in the starting lineup was Willis Reed worthy. :flag:

Did the goggles have lenses in them, or were they just Russel Westbrook-style nerd props?

He will wear them the whole summer. Then I guess his eye will be reevaluate before the trainign camp in October to see him if he can remove it.

His goggles still need some tuning. After few minutes, he has mist/fog issues which isn't the most convenient to play.
