He will have signed an extension before he is traded to Orlando if that happens. If an extension is offered this off-season he will sign it. It's too big of a risk not to given his injury history.

Not sure if all this off season drama is worthwhile...going to hope that the right moves are made and we don't have to have the mash-up of egos and hurt egos that would be a detriment to the cohesion of the '13 squad. Kinda sets the whole future into something in the middle of murky and completely bleak when it is rebuilding time. I would venture to guess Bynum would be foolish to not sign an extension regardless of being traded. It would be the uncertainty of an injury-prone future and his very real injury-prone past. Those tweets say nothing about Bynum wanting out of LA. It says "without an extension" because the Lakers have not opened discussions on an extension yet. Bynum and his agent have made it clear that they are open to discussions about an extension and Bynum has made it clear that he doesn't give a fuck about anything except who will give him the most money. The bottom line is if the Lakers choose to keep him then he will stay.
