The San Antonio Spurs and power forward Tim Duncan reportedly are close to an agreement on a three-year contract extension.
According to a Yahoo Sports report, Duncan's representatives are finalizing a few items, but the deal is expected to be worth in the range of the $34 million that Kevin Garnett received from the Boston Celtics.
Duncan averaged 15.4 points and nine rebounds last season but said he had no intention of leaving San Antonio via free agency.
Duncan, small forward Danny Green, power forward Boris Diaw and point guard Patty Mills have agreed to deals to return to San Antonio when the moratorium on contract signings ends Wednesday.
San Antonio was the top seed in the Western Conference and finished tied with Chicago with a 50-16 regular-season record.
