4 out of 5, yes. I still think Parker had a tough time out there. Doesn't much matter though. He's got a ring, and Detroit doesn't this year.

I think this one should have ended months ago.

I wasn't really impressed with Parker this series either.

No. That's what a majority of the country WANTS to believe when their team is up against the Spurs, so they'll keep saying it.

Who cares now!:spin

Parker flat out sucked this series. I would have been happy if Barry got to run the point. I was not impressed at all.

Well I think the Spurs put the first two to rest when they won the last championship, but that didn't stop us from hearing the same crap, so I think we'll still hear the "Can't play physical, softy" BS.

For Tony I guess I have to ask what is meant by bigger? If you mean height I think it was proven wrong because he did great against Rip. If you mean muscles then no, Billups really had his way with Parker when he had the ball.

There will always be a loud contigent who will hump KG's leg over Tim's, I don't sweat it much.

Asterisk talk is gone for good.

Parker always seems to fade in the finals, but he's just a kid. I think he'll improve. I HOPE he does.

you forgot "Manu flops" reputation that he has received during the playoffs because he was killing all the teams :).

Spurs are "soft".. what do people expect brawls or tattoos or our players to be on the news in court day in and day out?

If you want that go and be pen pals with San Quentin inmates! Not the Spurs!
All that matters are the W's and the Spurs are teh BEST in all sports in winning % over the last 7-8 years.

I think because of this last series, Parker questions will linger. But in the previous series? He rocked the casbah. He's intelligent enough to learn from it, and he picked up some stuff from Nash. He's steadily improved every year - he'll get better.

The other questions? They'll be around as long as Spurs haters and doubters are around. But true bball fans know the truth.

I still don't understand how people DIDN'T expect Parker to struggle this series. Just as I said when we drew Detroit out of the hat, they know how to do everything to shut down Parker's game.

They know how to get back on transition D, even against the quickfooted Parker.

They know how to clog the lane with big guys and long arms and prevent the layups.

They know how to knock somebody down hard.

They know how to play the passing lanes, especially on the kickouts.

They know how to get their hands on flashy passes.

We knew they were going to frustrate Parker. They were just waiting for Tony to play his game, because they had been trained to exploit it all along.

Not to mention he's only chasing around Chauncey Billups, one of the most experienced, clutch PGs in the league, a guy whose Detroits offense is predicated around.

Parker still helped lead this team to victory, and I'm sure it was a hell of a lot harder for him to do what he did than it is for everybody to sit here and talk about what he didn't

Parker had a hard time with Billups because he doesn't know what he's gonna do... post or shoot.. it's exhausting..

But I think he was terrific on the defensive side... the side that counts..

Chauncy didn't have his off night, he was way off entering the 4th, and even though Bowen was on him most of that quarter, Parker had alot to do with his droughts...and Hamilton's...

Parker is the best defending guard I've seen, and noticed... IMO, and I've seen the NBA for quite some time now...

Tony is underrated, but he's gonna pull up from this.. next year..

He'll earn his All star status..

BTW... I think Parker choked a bit because of Eva...

Alot of pressure when Eva promised John Sally that she would wear a bikini if the Spurs lost on the best damn sports show ever..

Of course now we have the "pleasure" of seeing Him in a speedo..

Parker had a hell of a time with Billups throughout the series, but last night I though he came through big time defensively speaking--on Hamilton for a bit as well. He also only had one turnover, which was remarkable considering how physically he was played.

Every series has its mismatches that teams try to exploit, and Parker and Billups one the most glaring in the finals. It doesn't mean that we should dump Parker as some Spurs fans suggest--he just didn't match up well against the Pistons. He was good enough though. Two rings at 23 years old. Not bad.
