College recruiting is a weird science, even at its best imperfect and filled with guesswork. And when you get down to the early high-school and late middle-school levels — well, then you really have no idea.
But what if you’re looking at a seventh grader, and he can already dunk? And dunk alley-oops? Oh, and he’s 6’7″?
You probably don’t need to worry about athleticism, at least.

everyone's 6'7? :lol

with the lack of quality big men in the league today, if he's simply lucky enough to top out around 6'10 and just works at his game he could get PAID for being a scrub at the very least. i'd love to be in dude's shoes lol.

He doesn't even look like a lanky abnormally tall kid, might grow up to be s Shaq who knows. Somebody should secure that 2018 NBA draft #1 pick :lol

The tallest kid in my hs was this huge redheaded dude that was like 6'9...most uncoordinated, unathletic person I have ever seen.

Tyson Chandler was someone in this area (Artesia) that was that tall (or maybe even taller) and they interviewed him on 60 minutes. He managed to do well for himself. Not total stardom like LeBron or Kobe, but there is a possibility of this kid potentially being something to behold. He should work on the fundamentals since that seems to be passe in the world of pro basketball (at least in the U.S.)

I think the tallest person at my school was Josh Childress.

How is that unlucky? Becoming a top 3 center in NBA history seems like a good thing. :lol

I'd love to be in the guy's shoes too...maybe he'll work his ass off and stay afloat his fellow competition, maybe he won't.

Where he plays also has to be considered. If the kid is playing somewhere where basketball is all there is, his fellow competition will bridge the gap somewhat.

But yeah, 6'7 and 13 years old... insane
