Playoff team that's good enough to take out lower seeded Eastern conference fodder but collapses in the second round against the elites like Miami?

:downspin:

Nah, the Nets are better than the Hawks... the Hawks didn't have a point guard even close to Deron Williams, tbh...

First round fodder. Everyone knows JJ pulls a Bonner late in the season/playoffs, leaving Deron and max contract Lopez to fend for themselves.

Let's see how they compare with the Knicks:

DWill > Kidd/Lin, even if Linsanity began with Deron getting owned
JJ > Smith, even if both turn into total chuckers come playoff time
Crash < Melo, duh
Teletubby < One-handed Amar'e, tbh
Brook <<<<< Chandler

they still nowhere close to our level tbh, and the gap is rather big like that between OKC and clippers :lol

No idea, depends on how they all gel, which has a lot to do with Williams. They can be a pretty good team, but they could also be the Knicks tier.

Joe Johnson was expected to carry the whole damn load with Atlanta, now he won't have to do that in Brooklyn & you'll see him excel at being that Robin.

He won't have to carry the whole load, but he'll still be expected to hit the clutch shots in crunch time, won't he? D-Will is more of a tablesetter than a pure scorer, right?

So JJ will still have ample opportunities to piss things away.

Yeah, DWill is a balanced PG in the Chris Paul mold rather than a pure passer like Nash or Rondo or a scorer like Westbrook, Rose, or Parker.

The Nets look like the 2005 Suns. Elite PG? Check. Joe Johnson? Check. Scoring big man who can't defend well? Check. Good defender at the 3? Check.
