Beno Udrih hugs Brent Barry from behind. When the camera catches them mid-grasp, Barry pushes him away. What's going on there? Someone get "Behind the Glory" on this, immediately!

"As the seconds ticked off at the end of the game, did you see when the cameras cut to Brent Barry and Beno Udrih on the bench?
Beno wrapped his arms around Brent, who promptly slapped his hands away."

Sorry to bump this, but does anyone know if there was a story behind this? Do they not like each other or something?

I took it to be a "don't celebrate too early" slap. YMMV.

So, Tony Parker was on Ginobili before the game.

I'm not sure exactly what happened...

But I definitely saw Barry say, "I don't give a damn how they celebrate championships in Slovenia...it aint gonna happen."

Just kidding...Basically Beno was hugging Barry and getting ready to celebrate, it was during a time out...the game wasn't over though and when play was set to resume Barry wanted to watch the game...so he tapped Beno's wrists and pushed them off of him because he wanted to watch the game.

He didn't slap Beno or freakout like the article is making it sound...it looked to me like they were talking and laughing until play was about to resume...keep in mind Barry was still being subbed in and out of the game too.

It was pretty funny to watch though.

I dont' think it's that big of a deal. The big three are always hugging and kissing on each other...

kissing is customary in Argentina, France and many other countries

I say let Beno have his fun. Hell he was excited about winning a championship! He probably read the threads in here calling Brent "Mrs. Barry" and "Brenda Barry" and just wanted to find out if any of it was true!

A little man-love is ok if you just won the title! You can't blame him for that right?!

I was out and about in downtown Austin tonight when I see this 6'7" guy with a Spurs cap on. I didn't think anyone around us knew who he was. I had my camera with a big lens with me so. He probably thought I was some paparrazi scum following him around, so he tried to juke me by briefly going into a hotel.

He walked up to me at the next intersection and I tried to strike up a converstation:
Me: Uh... are you Brent Barry?
BB: Yeah
Me: Good job at the parade yesterday
BB: Were you there?
Me: Naw. I caught it on the webcast.

Light turns green he walks off with his son and a buddy

Pretty lame. I should've pretended that I didn't recognize him and asked where he got that cool Spurs Championship cap. Then ask if he was that rookie kid from Slovenia. Now i'm kicking myself for not getting a picture with him, but I'm sure he didn't want to be hassled by some stranger on the street.

Let me think about this one. Let's see, it's only an hour away from SA. There's several possible reasons why he could have wanted to come here. Not to mention, it was in the afternoon, so it wasn't that hot. Oh, and the weather here is pretty much the same as it is in SA right now, so I don't think that played much of a part in anything. I'm sure he had his reasons for wanting to come to Austin (Maybe he took his son to Barton Springs where the water is ice cold, yes, even in June), but you're making it seem like Austin is complete crap, so I must be wrong.

Austin is the closest to Cally lifestyle that there is in Texas. Maybe he wasn't ready to leave Texas but still wanted to have some fun. Austin is a great place to find some fun.
