What d'yall think? A tremendous upgrade and only slightly behind tu's classics in terms of best in the state (for whatever that's worth).

Anyway it'll be nice to have these guys looking good while reppin' us in the SEC this fall.

No way, lol. Texas' uniforms are classic. A&M's are an upgrade from the old ones though.

"Exciting" shouldn't really be a criterion for how good a uniform is. "Exciting" uniforms are usually gimmicks reserved for the 2nd and 3rd tier teams that want to get attention.

I've never really cared for the white helmets for some reason. Other than that, the uniforms look pretty good. It's funny that they've beveled the numbers after the 'controversy' over beveling the A&M logo.

Easily the worst part of the uniform.

I give em a 7/10. Still would rather switch to nike once the addidas contract is up.

No way. Nike puts out the best product and it is definitely more appealing to the younger generation.

Adidas is just bootleg Nike anyway, which explains why Texas is a Nike school and Aggie wears Adidas.....

Nike is a lot better, but Nike has become more selective as to who they outfit in college football. A&M wanted the same financial deal that Nike gave Texas, but Nike refused, and so A&M went with Adidas instead.

Bill Byrne got all butthurt for numerous reasons with Nike, not just the one you mentioned but BB is gone now so it's time to go back.

Ehh Byne was pressured by many coaches who felt Nike wasn't paying enough attention to them. He also stated that Nike offered an insulting contract and said we weren't as good as Texas. Many have disputed that this even happened and this story came from Byrne's mouth so who knows. Could have been trying to justify his decision to move since it was an unpopular decision to a lot of Aggies.

Anyway, things have drastically changed since then and you'd have to expect that Nike's stance and outlook on A&M is much different then it was before. A&M should definitely look into them once their contract is up with Adidas in 2014.

This is/was my favorite uniform ATM wore. I wanna say from 2009. I like how the name is displayed prominently. If I'm not mistaken hasn't the wordmark always been that big since at least the days of the Wrecking Crew?

I know Aggie fans didn't like the triple pants stripe from reading Texags but I think it's essential.

Spurs1990, since you're a Houston fan, can you tell us anything interesting about Sumlin? I'm thrilled with his recruiting ability thus far, but I'd like to know if you think he's good at player development, etc.

A&M has gone to that techfit though. What you can't grab you can't tackle type of jerseys.

The white helmets are only an alternate, maybe for 1-2 games a year; they have some history, as they were also used 'way back when'.

I don't particularly like them myself, but the more I see the all-white uniform, the more I kind of like it (for occasional use). It does have a sort of 'stormtrooper' look to it.

Tech went to the all white helmets with red double T a couple years back and it looked like shit.

A&M going with the all white helmet with maroon logo looks alright to me.

it just looks too much like the UT whites for me.

Hey Thompson so as far as CKS is concerned I don't see him lasting long in College Station. There have been ramblings from UH fans regarding his lack of congeniality with alums in Houston. I don't think that would fit well for ya'll.

I'd say he's still a good transitional figure to hold the reigns while ATM gets their feet wet in the SEC. Then in a few years sell high as they say. We all know ATM will be in a coveted position down the road.
